"Eye for an Eye"

drum roll :

Barbarian

The barbarian is one of the most dangerous and feared sights on the battlefield. Their combat style focuses on strength, aggression, and relentless assault.

I wouldn't play it any other way

For me I tend to sway towards shapeshifting classes primarily in any MMOs I play or something thats slightly different from the norm.

Therefore Im looking at the Necromancer and Herald of Xotli with anticipation and one of these will most likely be my primary char. That said Im not usually one for melee fighting with swords and other weapons but the real time combat system with manual blocking that they are implementing might just break my habit of a lifetime :)

Also the Lich used to be a melee form that pounded people, from what Ive read since they have merged it into the Necromancer class the lich is no longer a melee form but a souped up caster form.

They wanted to differentiate it from the Herald, which is why the merger took place in the first place ;)

I feel the exact same way.. Most people always tend to go with the big badass ones, reading the small text on each class "Most dangerous and feared bla bla" and pick that one.. Normally however, in my opinion, the ones that seem a little out of the league, always tend to the be real dangerous ones. But we'll see, this thread has shown however alot going for the same, I'll try and stay away from the majority, and go as I said first, for a necro, it seems not many have that pick in mind, so thats cool.

I like a challenge when playing a class, which is why I tend to go for hybrids who play and provide multiple styles for multiple situations... since most classes are hybridised in some respects this will hopefully offer me a lot more choices for characters to play aswell.

Im not a multiple character player though, I only ever play 1 character in an MMO I play... played the same druid in WoW since release, did the same in SWG until I stopped playing so in that respect im stuck in my ways, hoping AoC might break the mould for me.

When it comes to pvp game , I choose the class that is all up in your grill . You might be trying to do all your fancy shape shifting and what ever but as soon as i'm up in your grill you squishy folk are going down .

Short story about shape shifing :

I had 75 senti in Shadowbane and was looking for a mob for a rune, I checked track and there was a Ranger or Huntress I forgot already , but she came after me and im nuking away missing my aoe holy nuke (not the bomb) and all of sudden she was shape shifting to wolf and all this crazy mess, think she was 69 lvl so she should of killed me pretty quick, im like looking at her shaping shifting do all kinds of fancy stuff, I said well, time for the big bomb, so I debuffed her and did my big AOE holy bomb , one shot one kill, I swear it was the funniest thing I've ever seen. I basically stood there through about 15 minutes of her doing all this crazy stuff and then I just nuked here with one spell. It was cool.. end of story .. hehe,

Bring on the Squishies

i am stuck between a Stygian Assassin and a Stygian Scion of Set (or whatever its called now).

race (as you can see) is not a problem.  it really depends of if i find spell weaving for fun than fps style combat.

needless to say i will end up playing both :P

"We''re not making a game for Trekkies" Daron Stinnett, Perpetual Entertainment

I was going to be a bear shaman, but I'm strikng against Funcom and AoC until they completely revamp crafting.  My disappointment in their so called crafting system is beyond words.

Mastering the Art of Chill

I have yet to decide which Class to roll. IMO I don't have enough information on what the Pros and Cons are in this game for each Class. One thing for sure is that I'm not going to play a Hunter/Range type character. This is only becuase in every MMO I have  played i've played one.  Time for something new

In this game I will most likely roll a Mage type character. Herald of Xotli myb?

All MMO's have grinds. If you don't like to Grind then MMO's are not for you.
