Although i utterly hate level based MMO's, one thing i do give credit to AoC for is their graphics engine! unlike WAR, AoC looks much more polished and smooth by comparison.

So, how can you compare? you are in the two betas? you know any of the two engines are finished? you know that war is running in the "lowest" mode? that aoc have not improved some code and performance? you cant compare, you can say, that you like aoc graphic cause you saw on a video they are realistic, but you cant compare and say they are much more polished cause the general background is really different.

But to me it seems like comparing AoC graphics versus Warhammer graphics is like comparing Apples to Oranges.

<smiles> There are not many people that are in oth beta's, actually i know only one person that is in bot... And no i am not going to tellyou his name that would be against the NDA.

anyway, just want to say that you cant compare two unreleased games, and, taking in account that their engines are not working at full, at least, as I heard.

Just from what i've seen, AoC has the upper hand in gfx. Thats just my personal opinion. Don't get me wrong WAR looks great but AoC's graphics appeal to me more.

I'll make a translation for people since they think that the OP is bashing only WAR. In fact he's bashing both games but that's another issue (at least that's my take from what he says).

"Although gameplay in AoC sucks big time and I will never play it, their graphics engine is more pleasing in the eye than WAR, which I also hate"

Comparing AoC and WAR has no use whatsoever. The "you can't" is not really well picked, it should be more like "it makes no sense".  WAR and AoC have two different ways of going about graphics and are aiming for completely different results. It's not so much about can or can't, but about the "why should you?". Both graphic styles will appeal to certain players. But that's individual taste, not a factor set in stone. After all, we are not Borg. ^_^

Yup, I bought an 8800 GT 512MB just for the game :-)
