forums.station.sony.com/swg/posts/list.m This is a beautifully written post that will fall upon deaf ears and be ignored. This player will continue to give his money and continue to live with dissapointment until he becomes too fed up to even think about it anymore and will quietly hit cancel and dissapear like so many others did. The sad thing about this topic is all the posts that keep being deleted by the forum mods. Players chiming in with charges of "crafter welfare" and how they should be able to keep their hard-earned credits, I dunno I guess to just have a large number to look at and feel all warm and fuzzy for it, instead of using them to buy things from others and how anything worth having in the game they should be able to attain for nothing. I do not feel those posts should be deleted as they show the true nature of the beast that cried until the NGE was created. My question is thus; if you mindless zerging PvP kiddies didn't want an immersive game with an emphasis on community and player co-dependancy, why the bloody OMG hell did you ever play this game in the first place? |

It will get ignored, and the OP will eventually give up on the idea that "fighting from within" will achieve anything but your $14.99 to SOE for more NGE. I used to post ideas and tried to "fight from within" as well. For those of you still doing it: Stop. it's futile.

It was pretty obvious when the NGE was foisted upon SWG players that the developers wanted crafters to GO AWAY. All that reading and thinking and stuff, instead of just kill-loot-repeat. The former made Nancy McIntyre's head hurt. |

OMG. Just read this on the SWG boards weaponsmith thread: I am a combat character, and I do not want my game experience to be dependent on other players. I want to get the best equipment from what I do (killing NPCs), not from some player who just wants to collect my credits. On a completely related note, I don't want to spend my entire game time collecting credits for weeks on end just so I can pay for a single item. Here we see the NGE target audience in all its glory. |

"Denial does not change reality." |
The trader profession was marginalized, and the vast majority of Traders are little more than loot vendors. With so few true crafters left in game, their NGE plight will go on until the plug is pulled. There will just be more mindless collection grinds and heroic instances to get the best weapons. A loot schematic might be thrown at them to craft, but the days of complex crafting in a player economy are long gone (like most of the playerbase). |

That station forum post was hard to read. I did read something similar about creature handler before. And the part that makes them hard to read for me is that you quickly understand SWG were a lot more then just a little game. Sandbox used to mean your character had a purpuse in the whole game world. Every time i see one of those well written post from a SWG veteran, i just get sad. Nothing regarding MMOs are fun anymore. To bad not many understand how a MMO can be more then to grind xp and items. |

They cater to that player. Which is why they have maybe 15-20K at most instead of 250K players.
