I don't want to use the same words to repeat what Burntvet said which is true-- why not take advantage of it? lol but truly... its free, you play it free, you will NOT lose any content whatsoever. You will not be forced to spend any of your hard earned money (unless you want to) its all your call. It doesn't hurt to try it, and if its not your cup-a-tea, well at least you didn't pay for it.

Hmm, Burntvet was clearly stating that the game sucks, therefore people don't play it or download it. And you say what he said is true. So why would you advocate anyone even bothering with the waste of bandwidth downloading the game would be?

I gotta say, I usually Delete most newsletter etc. messages from my e-mail from games I no longer play, but when I saw  LOSER!!!!! I actually read it. In my opinion it wasnt such a bad marketing tactic.

Ok, I have to admit first that I did come here to say something positive about the game.  I've been playing it for about two weeks now and it is, in my opinion, pretty good fun.  I have no idea what it was like before nor do I care as whatever that was must not have been cutting it and led to the game becoming what it is today, which I like.

About the email post though, I read it and didn't feel offended at all.  It started out by saying that CHANCES ARE you are a loser but then promptly followed that up with an explanation that if you are it is most likely due to their game being screwed up based on their database findings.  They go on to explain how they have attempted to remedy the problem and invite you back to play for free for life as part of the solution.  I don't know, but it seems like a pretty fair deal to me.  I mean unless you are hypersensitive to being called a loser and lack the patience or reading comprehension to know the difference between an actual insult and an unfortunate (and costly) fact generated by a database.

See, now that last little bit there, that was an insult.

what i dont understand, is the constant insults to those who like this game from this thread.  those who find the email as an insult are actually insulting everyone else who see the email as harmless, or even find an intrest in the game due to the email. 

but only the immiture respond to an insulting comment with ignorance and insults, due to the lack of a reasonable responce, or inteligent argument.  "in my opinion"

Hm from what I kwow they should rather play savage 2 anyway.. IF they want a PVP Only Game.

I dont see how this email can be consider insulting, a "loser" is someone who loses at a particular activity.

The email is designed to motivate all the hardcore PvP players to come back to the game, as i guess PvP players hate losing, they used the word "loser" to make them come back, i guess that is prertty  obvious, and hence the OP and any other person who considers the email insulting are naive to say the least, grow up already!

Guys... this email is not an insult... Basically its trying to say hey if you lose some matches it is ok! Even the best players lose matches all the time and they all started off the same way as you did. Losing losing losing till they got to grasp with the game. So yes it comes off a little insulting at first, but for the people who quit the game because they couldnt win its trying to explain to them to just stick with it and they will be owning sooner than later.

Makes total logical sense to me. I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but this game is about losing, learning why you lost, and get better because of it. The email was sent from records straight from the database. So really nothing insulting is being said, only straight facts.

This is just another marketing sales tactic, i have seen much worse for stuff you need to buy!!
