a friend of mine told me swg is now under 10k players. i want to thank all of you for we the vets have won the war. soe is now a joke of the gaming world and in the next few months will have to bring back pre-cu in order for swg to live. i ask that everyone who can start pushing la into seeing that a roll back is the only way to save swg. and i ask that any nge fanboi now come out and tell us vets that we are right. |

Under 10K wouldn't shock me, given what I saw on Bloodfin in the current vet trial. But we have won.. Uh, do they have 250K subs? No. they dont... They don't have 100K or 50K...

| I encourage everyone who doubts the word of those who reject the NGE to try it for themselves. http://tryswg.com Experience for yourself a combat system that doesn't work, a broken UI... |

Originally posted by iwantmyswg 10k players wouldn't be enough for them to keep the game running. If that were true it would have been canceled and closed a long time ago. Hell NCsoft said their car game wasn't profitable because it stayed up 15k subscribers for 2 months and closed up within 3 months after that. Last numbers posted were 90k some subscribers like a month ago on SWG, and I can't imagine its dropped 80k+ within that time. |

LA wouldn't call for a roll-back, they'd just give the license to another company....like BioWare! |

SWG-NGE NOTICE: This game is a special education learning tool, not a source of entertainment. |
To be honest, 10,000 subscriptions just doesn't seem realistic. I am quite certain there's an escape clause in SOE's contract with LA that would allow either company to terminate the game if subscriptions fall below a certain point. I'd bet, and I could be wrong, that the threshold for activating this clause is a bit higher than 10,000 subscriptions. Remember, SOE has to split the proceeds from the game with LA. So if they only had 10k subscriptions they'd only be making about 75-100 k per month on the game. Surely if revenue had fallen this low the game would have been shut down. Then again, we have no idea how much it costs SOE to run the game so perhaps 75K is enough for them to meet their monthly obligations, with a skeleton crew, and still make a tiny profit. Who knows at this point. |

If this is winning, I'd hate to see what losing is like. It's pyrhic, at best. |

| CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested. Once a denizen of Ahazi |

Somewhere.. somewhere among all this mess are the remains of a horse that have been beaten so far from recognition.
there will be no rollback. you haven't won a damn thing. The fact that you spend your time wasting away at a keyboard for what you desire to have only show you to be the loser, and a sore one at that. It's been time to move along for far too long so let the damn thing die already and stop trying to take credit for that which you had no real influence in. |
