1) The gfx part, the X800GTO only supports DirectX 9.0b, (and to support shader model 3.0 you need directX 9.0C), so you are already missing out on part of the looks in the game.

2) The specialisation part. I view the path from Recruit (Tier 1) to Spy/Sniper/Medic etc (Tier 4) as becoming more specialised as you progress. So therefore in my eyes, and i assume as well Shadowmage's, is that Tier 4 (level 30) is currently the last stage of Specialisation as it stands right now.

3) The Military Surplus (PLayer selling point, call it what you will) came in around 11th December.

4) In the case of the linkers, whenever they have the red bubble around them, i never use any attack on them. It will automatically reflect that damage back onto you. Of course, once they fire their blast off, then its open season on them. Carpet bombing (especially at the higher ranks) is very hard to get right in CP's especially with linkers. Unless you can see all of the linkers, and that they have all used their 'bubble' then i would never use Carpet Bomb near them. Especially seeing as the Carpet Bomb isnt instantaneous, there is nothing to stop 1 or 2 of them from starting up their charge (and of course, when the bombs land you then get killed by the reflected damage).

5) The CP's do have a use (ie easier travelling for the player) until that person has ALL the waypoints. The player can slowly inch their way across a whole battlefield from the hospital (which could be miles away) or if they had the CP, come back there, and then not have to worry about running as far (kinda helpful when you start thinking about how much stuff is flying in the later zones... and that the last (or only) major hospital base in some cases is on the far left of the map. But you need to be at the far right of the map.... The CP's can help ease that journey.

Yes more effects from the war would be handy, and also to make things sustainable. BUT the one thing then that is left, is that the newer players would be missing out on part of the story line for that zone. For example, with that predator base, unless the players are constantly destroying it, wouldnt it make sense that the bane would rebuild and restart partrolling around there again (ok maybe not as fast as it currently is) but you get the idea.

6) Yes you have listed of several games with features that TR has, but how many of them have it all in one? And the eve cloning is interesting, especially seeing as they are using it in a different fashion (yes they both allow you to save your character, but the Tabula Rasa version also allows you to reallocate skill points and soon attribute points as well)

7) The point about the logos is interesting as well... especially seeing as some abilities now have faster cast times compared to what they used to be (ie rage). Infact some classes are undergoing a change anyway on the test server in terms of how the logos are working (contant work inprogress to be honest) with durations, power costs, cast times being looked at.

8) You have listed one animation that you dont like, i happen to like a lot of the animation in game. Yes there are 'strange ones' (like maybe the jumping as you say), but then again i can call that in most other games as well. The falling animation is one that does throw me though (especially from high heights).

Of course, all the above is my own opinion and no one elses. YMMV

The Eve cloning is only to preserve your character from losing skill points if you get pod-killed.

The Eve jump-cloning is only for instantaneous TRAVEL across large distances.

The TR cloning system is totally different as it allows you to create NEW characters and have those characters head down different skill trees or skill allocation choices.

Totally different implementations of "cloning"

Saw a couple of comments mentioning this in comparison to Anarchy Online and citing better graphics as one reason they tried TR as an alternative Sci-Fi MMO (does anyone even count SWG anymore?).  FYI, Funcom just released a new video demoing their upcoming graphics engine overhaul for AO later this year:

Download the 40mb file, burn it to DVD, and play it on a big screen.

Not calling the graphics better, but for code still in alpha it's looking awfully sweet.

Logo's, which honistly is the only "new" thing in this game
Its just sad how far off you are with your comments.  On a positive note the game is great and thousands people are havign a great time playing it, including myself.

Well, to me it was the only new thing, but I have played alot of games. Be that as it may, care to elaborate where I'm off the mark? Least I was polite enough to actually express my opinions and supported those opinions with in game experiences.

What else is new about TR?

Well I would have said putting them all together in the same MMORPG was new. But then I havent played all those games you have - so they are new to me.

So, again, aside from logo's, what else is ground breaking on this game?

Aarrrrrggggghhhhh - no changing the terms of the discussion. You didnt ask what was ground breaking, you asked what was new. Ground breaking - nothing :) New - again probably nothing if you have played lots of mmorpgs.

Combining them in the one game is what I would say is new.

Care to comment on the stick up the arse jump?
I didnt comment because I didnt see anything glaringly wrong. I dont care enough about the animations/graphics on a game to be bothered unless they seem glaringly bad to me.

If you dont like the jump animation - did you ever see the crucified swimming animation in beta?

I totally forgot about that animation. Wish i took some screenies of it now. But then again in the beta there was also a stage where we couldnt even swim and just ran on the water as well.

Still have it installed.  Waiting for a major patch that will make it a real great game.  Not sure how long should I wait.  But  I have a big disk, so it doesn't bother me much.  :)  Fact is that I am not playing it and not paying money for contuning beta test.  But I am not sure about how long NCSoft will carry this weight.  Potential is there, but it already took 6 years and 20 million dollars.  And the game looks like not even close to being finished.

I think TR survives so far only because of the reviews on major gaiming sites and mags, who are kissing buts of their advertizers.  But you can't fool people forever.  Sure, you can sell many collector boxes this way, but main revenue supposed to come from monthly fees.  And I don't think it's going to happen.  IMO TR is running very fast trying to catch up with Auto Assault - yet another "revolutionary"  MMORPG by NCSoft that went down the tubes unusually fast.

You progress at 5, 15, and 30, but your first specialization is at 30. Thats when I got sniper.

To correct you here, YOU SPECIALIZE AT 5 - 15 and 30 where 30 is YOUR LAST SPECIALISATION.,  progres happens every lvl  from 1>50

I kind of agree.  I am slightly disappointed as well.

Quests are semi-monotonous.  Go here and do this and go here and do that.  At the same time though they can be kind of fun like in the instanced areas and such and I like the waypoint system with the radio icons.

It gets old very fast however.  I have gotten to level 28 and everything has just started to feel the same.  New areas and more quests to do and it all just feels the same.  The real thing though is that i dont feel like i'm working towards anything.  Class progression isn't really all that advanced and there aren't that many abilities to use really.

The aspect I don't like the most about Tabula Rasa is grouping is almost discouraged.  Most things are possible on your own even at low levels for higher level quests/instances.  I feel like mmorpg's were meant to be at the very least semi-interdependent even at lower levels and not necessarily at level 40-50 or whatever.

The community is severely lacking in my opinion.  I'd say at
