Let's see. People have actually tried AoC before. I can go buy old magazines from various people that track games, and see hand-on thoughts about it. Hell I can even try to track down a thread of someone using a peeing emote in AoC for you. You could youtube AoC and find video's of someone playing AoC using a Xbox360 controller while explaining game mechanics. That's tangible.
Of course you have. However, it's still "vaporware" according to the anti-Darkfall alliance's definition of the term. AoC is produced by funcom, a pretty well known company, whereas DF is produced by Aventurine SA, an independent company from Greece. It doesn't take that much brainpower to understand that AoC has higher production values and will be covered extensively by the media in order to promote the game.
AoC is all flash and very little subtance. DF is a relatively underground game with one goal in mind, absolute player-driven dynamics.

Darkfall on other hand. Have you ever met anyone creditable that's played it? Seen a creditable hand-on preview? Seen a movie of someone playing it? If you can please feel free to drop those links right here in this thread. Because otherwise, yes Darkfall is vaporeware, as there is no tangible proof that the game actually even exist.
Hell even Duke Nukem Forever had a very real video and magazine coverage, that actually proved it was being worked on. Yet you think people should just go off some developers word, that so far has produced nothing to date, to offer up as proof.
I have actually. Valiant effort to prove me wrong, though. You see, I've actually taken the time to read up on the game, instead of looking at the frontpage of their website for a few seconds. Since you asked for it, I'll even give you a few links:

If I were an investor, I wouldn't invest that much money or money at all into Darkfall because it doesn't appeal to the mass market. Though, as a gamer, I would invest my time into Darkfall because it meets the criteria of an MMO I desire.
So let me get this straight. Your proof (going off the links you provided) are video's, that if I'm not mistaken are the same ones that have been floating around for a year or more. Pretty sure i've seen them before, as people love to make Darkfall threads, been here since 2003 seen alot of them.
As for your "Warcry" link. Yeah... those dev journals are really creditable.
Looking under Overview, Editorials, and Previews didn't show much either. Come on where's the real proof? No spots on G4, No mention at SpikeTV VGA's, No real coverage in any game magazine. Sorry a deveoplers words are worth a grain of salt in my eyes. Where's the proof from people that stand to gain nothing from Darkfall Online coverage.
No offense to Warcry or their Staff, but their site for Darfall just gives even more belief to the comments of it being vaporware. You click on Overview and the first thing you see is:
"Darkfall is a hardcore, action-oriented MMORPG first announced in August 2001. Developed by Aventurine SA out of Greece, Darkfall promises real-time combat in the gritty and seamless fantasy world of Agon."
GG
You realize that media coverage is simply promotional work for a game that has to meet corporate deadlines? Darkfall is an independent project which doesn't have as much time and resources as say, funcom, the company behind AoC. It's under the radar, my friend... or do you just follow mainstream games?
Thats it Ignore his question entirely.
