Hello Slannmage, DAoC had specialization before WoW was created, and Warhammer IP was created before DAoC. Mythic, the team that put together DAoC, is creating the Warhammer universe in this new MMO. Therefore they have introduced many things from DAoC due to popular demand from players (Keeps, Seige Weapons, Spec). The specialization system is there only to provide each class with an ability to be unique. It becomes rather dull when everyone is the exact same class with the same exact abilities across the board. Specialization was by no means created by WoW. -Shifty360
P.S. (You don't have to play Warhammer Online if you do not want to, feel free to go back to WoW).

WoW was the first have a talent Trees? LOL people really think this? Blizzard copied off DAoC, EQ etc. You can see that if you payed these, If wasn't for these MMO's also. You little game called WoW wouldn't here. Also the pvp system is just joke in WoW.. Sure it's fun for while but it gets boring.. I think Blizzard has ruined MMORPG kind of. Because we have kids like you.. If wasn't for Blizzard fanbase, WoW wouldn't have lasted this long, it would be like Planeside, on life support. lol
1. A easy MMORPG, you don't need to put tons of time into it. You can solo ALL the class to lvl70 without partying, This why, many people play it.. ((people like there games easy now. This why even JRPG/RPG are short now, gamers are getting lazy)) 2.Blizzard has a BIG BIG fanbase.. WoW could be same as it now, but if they didn't have WC, Diablo and SC. And they just made WoW.. I'd be shocked if WoW had 500k subs. I think because of Blizzard we have taken step back in MMOs/.. Hopefully Warhammer will fix that..

He will realise the 2 huge differences in the games (the skill trees don't mean anything... it's an MMO ffs) which, in WARs case, will be the RvR - huge battles that having meaning, a goal, a point to actually go out and do something. WoW is not offering any big reason to PvP, the only thing they award you with is gear, but what good is that gear when you're fed up of playing the same BG's that you've just grinded for weeks? You've got that gear, but now what? Blizzard's solution is to up the tiers every few months - that doesn't solve the issue, it extends the dead-end road that you're heading to. EA Mythic are tackling this with actual content, they realise that people are going to get bored easily doing that sort of thing, so they're doing their best to come up with solutions to overcome this. The latest newsletter gives you some examples of how they're doing it; DAoC's conquerable buildings (/drool) They've taken something they're good at in a previous game and added it to WAR. Yes, they look similar (they're both based on Warhammer lore, so that's a given) but since you say you're sick of playing the same games over and over then WAR should be the game for you, because it's going to be different. -iCeh |

Warhammer had the cartoony graphics first. WoW just made it hugely popular.
Ok so WoW had the talent idea first or at least made it hugely popular. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that War is a lot like WoW. If you want to break it down further all mmo's have some type of class, levels, class customization, crafting, and zoning. Warhammer and WoW have a lot of these in common, the only difference I can see is class and zoning. Class just being a new name for the same type of dps, tanks, healer, and ranged dps. But we'll leave that for a new post. |

Originally posted by SempaiEclipse Actually that is the same between the two games SempaiEclipse. Talent points... mastery points, same idea. That was my point. My other point was most mmo's are basically the same, except art style, which in this case is very similar to each other. WoW and War have the same style of art. Next time read a post before you post. |

WoW and WAR have the same style art, because Warcraft borrowed from Warhammer. Warcraft I (Orcs vs Humans) was going to be a Warhammer game, but the deal fell through. So when you compare WoW to WAR, you will see plenty of similarities. Whether or not the game mechanics are similar, I can't say. I haven't played WAR. |

This post is like going out with a liberal friend and hearing for the nine thousandth time after they get drunk that we shouldn't be in Iraq, and how if they were president the world would be a better place. I'm not trying to insult the OP even though he might be a complete idiot, but i'm saying that this post is completely worthless and it annoys me enough to stop what i'm doing and post this response. This time though it only annoyed me enough to copy/paste part of another post. |

Anyways, WoW copied DAOC's spec lines with there talent system, so your troll is false, back to the drawing board bitch |
