Well, I mainly focus on MMORPGs, and this wasnt a stellar year for MMORPgs. But my vote would be for LOTRO Torrential |

I haven’t tried Mass Effect yet, but it’s been another poor year for RPG’s in general. Maybe Mass Effect can turn that around, otherwise EQII: Rise of Kunark is the best RPG release of the year with LoTRO coming in a distant second. None of the single player RPG’s so far even come close. |

HI WEll.I'm going to be different..I love Eschalon Book 1...a new indie rpg that is a retro type but has a lot more put into it than let's say.The Avernum games....single character..Graphics are better than geneforge.... My own choice but it's gaining popularity on RPG Codex where they are really picky..
They also have a huge demo on the game site |

The Witcher since its by far the best cRPG since Gothic I imho. Ah and of course The Witcher is game made by my fellow-countrymans, so I have no other choice! :) |
