Aion

Everyone knows that Aion is planning on releasing in the US in 2008, BUT does anyone have a specific day? or a month or even something as vague as a quarter? i know im not the only one who wants to know - and this probably isnt the first post about this, but can someone give me a fairly close date towards when Aion releases?

If we had that answer we wouldn't be here.

The estimated release date right now is March 2008

in the us/eu I honestly don't think it comes before the summer, more likely during the summer.... I estimate july/august, we'll see who is right ;)

Wouldn't surprise me if it did meet the March release, they have been working on it for a looong time, either way....March - August isn't a long wait.

But in reality  it all depends on the outcome of the Betas and the time to fix all the bugs. If we're lucky,  most likely around summer '08. Frankly, I don't want them to rush and launch the game filled with bugs and have the whole thing flop after waiting this long.

What's worse is the game could be so awesome your local game store could be sold out at launch and you have to wait another 2 months for a second shipment

Release dates? wow....lol.  Since I didn't play any other ncsoft games at release, I can't really say if they'll make their projected target of q2 2008.  Your post however will incite the normal responses of "I wish it was <time period>" or "I want them to fix the bugs first "(which we all know is bullshit, cuz there has never been a bug free release. What we really mean is make it playable soon as possible and get the rest patched asap!) Even with closed beta for our Korean friends, they are either a)too far away to even try to set a date, or 2) very close indeed and we'll hear something shortly.

Either way, as far as release dates are concerned, I'd ask your magic 8-ball first.  :P or at least ask ncsoft directly.  Speculation threads are just a way to pass time.

2008..dear..

Well the beta has been going along very smoothely apparently, so I don't think we'll see too much of a problem at launch. :D

It'd be interesting if they manage to get Aion on the shelves before you-know-which other big releases.

I myself am hoping for a March release, too - but I know that's a bit optimistic of me.
