Anyone really playing this? I know they say they have a big fan base, but wouldn't the people who would most likely be playing this, rather be playing the real EQ or EQ II?  I didn't try it while they had their "come back and try us again for free" promotion.  I mean at least for me, playing an online card games is like....well....porn websites, while they can be interesting to look at its just not the same as the real deal.  I mean the cards are virtual aren't they? You don't get physical cards right?

Would you play an online collectible trading card game?

Yes, I absolutely would
No, I absolutely would not
Maybe
I already do play one

These card sets associated with a MMO are just another gimmick to extract money from your wallet.

I mean really if you had the choice would you rather be playing on line or playing with the card deck?  Answer is pretty obvious to most of the posters here.

Yet they would not be continuing these sets if they were not making money.  So I guess there is a significant segment that would rather play with the card decks instead of online.   Whatever pleases you I guess.

Just because u prefer to play with an actual deck of cards doesnt mean everyone agrees with ya. These online card games are more convenient to alot of ppl. You never have to step into a store to buy them, if ya wanna play, log in, and u can play with whoever ya want, while going to a store, there may not be anyone playing ur game to even challenge. They say this all the time though, that u dont have to buy anything to be able to play it, if ya have an eq or eq2 account u get a starter deck for free. This is so you can try and see if you think its worth continuing, then u can spend money to make ur deck better.

As for the gimmick comment. come on, they are a business, u think they dont want to make more money? here is basicly what ur saying in a different way. Making an expansion based off of WOW is just a way for Blizzard to extract more money from your wallet. And thats true, they wanna make more money, and adding new things helps their cause. LON is just a NEW thing added to EQ and EQ2. Not bashing WOW or anything, was just using it as an example. Sorry if this seems like an attack, just trying to shed some light on this.
