As can be read on the FoM site:
It saddens us to inform you that our publisher, Ojom has decided to cease operation and support for Face of Mankind. According to Ojom this has become necessary after a review of the project. |

"How do you kill that which has no life"...Take away its computer. |
Shame. But it was needed. The game was really dying. Now mabe they will work on it without having to update and running a live game.

About time. Well, one more POS to be removed from this site, now. |

I wouldn't call it a PoS... back in beta there were some good times to be had, times I still look back fondly on. It's a shame they didn't do better, but they were running on life support. |

Yeah I had quite a bit of fun too during the beta. Didn't stay long afterwards tho as most of my online friends went on to other mmo's. FoM had great potentional but without enough cash for game upgrades/expansions it got boring fast. |

Originally posted by Token1337Guy I played in beta, too. At that time, it had a chance. After release, that all changed. So, beta was not a POS. The "game" FoM became afterwards is a POS. If there were different devs, who understood that there has to be some kind of content in even a sandbox style game, it might have turned out differently. They just barely announced a trial. When they realized the negative backlash they were getting from even their own players regarding the fact that a trial of the current game would lose more potential customers than just relying on people paying for a month on a blind basis, they decide to shut down. This game always had "potential" ( the most dreaded word in mmo history anymore ), but without the right devs to realize it, it was doomed. |

Using "lol" in game, not logging in, and speaking a language other than English are all prime examples of bad roleplaying. Thats what killed this game. |

Truer words were never spoken. "Not logging in" kills games. |
