Hello all, I just have a question for some of you in the "know". I played SWG for a while and loved it. Then I was deployed to the sandbox and missed the NGE. When I came back, I didn't enjoy the game as much as before.

My question is this... I know now that they have apologized for the change, but has there been any talk about changing it back?

No.

They aren't going to rollback if that's what you mean.  They have been making big improvements however.  If you liked the game during the CU I think you will like it now.

There are eggheads at LA/$OE taking the decision to not deliver to the majority of SWG fans by letting the game at the state you described : not enjoyable by you me and the vast majority. 

Jack "jerk" Nery  the nerdy repeated lately in an interview  the hollow phrases of no classic servers...and btw no financial success..too bad for the game . You do good and stay away..before this ...game...erhmm..whatever has a chance to frustate you while wasting time on playing it...

So thats what you do before login and after 2 minutes in current game ? intresting....

Thanks for the info. I actually tried it again about  6 months ago; however, it had some real "jerky" movement. In addition, there were some wierd "goings on", such as, but not limited to... baddies that I shot going from standing position,  directly to the ground with no annimation in between... that was enough for me.

If they have fixed the annimations and things are kinda smooth, please let me know, I wouldn't mind trying it again just for poops and giggles.

Unfortunately things like that have not been fixed. NPC's still shoot through walls, etc, etc... The problem with thr animations is due to the new and improved "faster combat" most of the old animations are too slow to show up.

There are still many bugs that some of the die hards here will not admit to. The dev staff has gone down to a total of 20 people and it's taking 6 months + for them to put out new Chapters(Chapter = Publish).

Now in saying that, there have been some improvements, but if you're a fan of pre-CU, I doubt it will be enough. The newest chapter, Chapter 7, will probably be the greatest new thing to hit SW:G since before the CU. It really is that good.

I would suggest if you really want to find a place to play pre-CU then go to the Veteran forums up above and ask there, or Google SWG EMU.

For the last two years, John Smedley, the CEO, vigorously defended the NGE. Now, he admits it was 'a serious mistake'. However, he also claims that he cannot authorise a rollback to the pre-CU game  because that would be unfair to the NGE players.
