Why post here if all you're going to do is bash the game? Don't you have better things to do? Like find a game you actually like instead of coming here and complaining about a game you've already left or never played? There's something called "moving on". You might like to try it. If I did it, you can too. My website is closed temporarily. Hopefully it will only be a short delay. |

i truly beleive that people who come to bash other games are : a) people are emotionally unstable and sometimes illogical animals b) are paid shills being payed to bash other games to promote another c) fanbois - ism extremists trying to bash one game for others to play their horrible game d) like causing misery/strife/discontent to others
then you have the really small % who have logical gripes

EQ2 iS toTallY the SUXorzHAXwtfbbq MMO! oNlY nUbZoorx and care-bears woUlD E4VR plAy tHiz POS gamez, if you CAN EVEN CALLINT A GAMEZ ROFLMAOAHSMNANFFOWF
there, just thought I'd do it to stop the flame/troll war you re-started by creating this thread :) pretty ridiculous isn't it? I used to hate EQ and EQ2, recently downloaded the EQ2 trial, played it, then went and bought EQ2 and am really enjoying playing it now. I dunno if I've changed or the game has changed as much as people say it has over the past few years, but I'm having a good time with my cat-person Guardian. (no, I can't remember the cat people's name)

While I agree with you to a certain extent, you have to remember this is a "forum" and with that said a forum is by my definition an assembly, meeting place, website, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest, which may or may not concur with your specific outlook or opinion. Now I completely agree with you on the notion of people coming into certain threads just for the sole purpose of "trolling". Without a substantial, mature argument to back their point of view. If it bothers you that much, all I can say is grow some thicker skin and choose to ignore the knuckleheads. |

Agreed I read through the various threads for games I do play (EQ2, Tabula Rasa, Guild Wars, WoW) and ones I have left due to issues or dislike of the title. (LOTRO, GnH) But, the fact remains...if a post states something that is incorrect or is an honest question, I will answer it or make my statements...that is why we live in a free world...if I wish to have my thoughts or voice taken away from me..I can think of a few communist countries...or worse.. Last I checked...a forum is a place for discussion, whether it is liked or not (I can think of a few political leaders for example, whose voice won't shut up..) Basically, remember the old adage...sticks and stones buddy...and this forum does not hurt too much, don't take it personal either. Thanks for the concern though! |

ive made a post on this forum that states how i feel about eq2 pvp....and its not a nice discussion. however, i did state that this game is one of the best if your interest is in pve. that is true, eq2 is a superb game on pve servers. |

Originally posted by iffymacknope...i only respond in games i have played or am playing. if you look at my post history, eq2 and swg are really the only ones i have ever posted in. Along with a post here and there in the others i tried. As for my go back to wow respone, you will never find one by me. i think wow is a very polished game, but its not for me. And why would i tell someone they either like/dislike a game when everyone has different tastes?

I personally blame mmorpg.com for most of the bashings. However, if MMORPG.com didn't have that "Recent forum post" options, then many of these negative nannies would move on. But, with this option, they are constantly scanning the active threads, are reminded of some game they have since left or had a bad experience with, and feel obligating to re-share this negative emotion, every time they see a new post or thread. I'm sure many of us have games we enjoy and therefore haunt the forum sections devoted to those games - but how many of you constantly read threads for games you have no current interest in? I'm not talking about once or twice or checking it out for possibilities, I'm talking stalk a random thread, just because it's active?! whatever <lol> Trolls, no matter their motivation or source, are part of internet life :-P ---------------------------------------- |

I like to read both sides when looking for a new game. The very bad and the very good, you have to have both sides, If I have a bad experience with a game I'm coming here to tell you what I think, same if I love a game however I try to hold off until I'm sure of my facts. some times I try a new MMO and love it only to change opinion two weeks into it. Just try and say something bad on Gamespot.com for Lotro and see what you get !! They are there trying to protect there game and not allowing both sides to people on the fence as far as buying it. So everyone keep doing what your doing and giving both sides or its back to reading the back of the box at the store to figure out if you may like it or not. |

Originally posted by page No...go to the LOTRO forums on mmorpg.com and voice your opinion and watch the sparks fly.. I think they hate me there because a person asked for an opinion..I gave it, and I was then noted as an SOE schill...pretty cool...wish I got paid for that.. But, I don't...and the fact remains, LOTRO was good for about 3 months...GW gave me a year, WoW gave me a year, EQ2 is on one month, and I have clocked more time in EQ2 in that one month than LOTRO overall...as EQ2 runs better, plays better, is more interesting.. I do the same...I try to read both sides as well. LOTRO though was the first game where I pre-ordered due to the hype...and man was I disappointed...guess there was a reason you were locked to level 15 in Open Beta for that pre-order...cause they knew what would happen after that. No more pre-orders for me...I will stick to looking at the overall views and reviews when it is released and then 3 months after that (Tabula Rasa and GnH...I am looking at you) Cheers!
