Did you think that what they want to say is that you CAN (not you must) in certain situations got sex and if you do it right you get a buff from it? did you think that this sex, perhaps, is only under certain situations/quest/misions? dont you think that perhaps, what they are trying to say is that sex will not be censured instead of "two boobies running throught the town selling sex buffs"?

I think if they're going to introduce a 'sex buff' there should also be a 50/50 chance of getting debuffed instead.

I have a great idea.  How about if you abstain from sex in AoC you can get a beserk buff but you have less concentration for spells etc.  But if you have sex then you lose strength and get the concentration buff?

Personally I don't care if they show nudity or not as long as the game is labeled correctly.  Secondly I think its an ok idea since people do have sex and it will give the game more reality.  However I hope its done tastefully.

There is a large population of really heavily christian people in the US, sex is less taboo on the west coast as opposed to other areas of the country.  Of course, we don't have people having sex in Yogurt commercials on TV (complete with nudity) like in Europe....  But we have plenty of movies with sex and a healthy porn industry.

Yay, I'm 12 years old and now I'm gonna bye this game because I can have sex.  See, now they just have to include anal impalement via a dulled pole into the action and my 9 year old friend might bye it. 

Just kidding.  Seriously guys, this might keep a lot of kids out who's parents are on it but it'll be filled with all the other kids who broke through like successful sperm on a egg.  They are the ones curious about sex and violence.  They have either stupid parents who don't care, or uncles or big brothers, or clerks who don't care... coming to a server near you.  Actually I don't care.  It's naive to think any mmo population is going to be different then any other.

Its just a tiny feature really.... How many games out there have something like this already? Quite a few! I do not think it will attract or push away anymore or any less immature players than before it was announced. Not that many people care about it really as it is just not that earth shattering. They added getting drunk to several MMOs, and it serves no purpose what so ever! You can totally go out and get drunk in real life, yet none of you seem to get upset about the fact they added that to the game. Think about the roleplay aspects of this feature. And on another note, think about all the people that cyber ingames. The sex buff feature in AoC is probably rather tame, and other then maybe talking to a NPC named "brothel maid" or something of that sort, you would probably have no idea that is what your character is doing. People, INCLUDING KIDS AND IMMATURE INDIVIDUALS,  cyber in mmos pretty well constantly, and graphically speak to each other in a manner much more obscene then their sex buff feature will probably be, so its not anything for you guys to get so worked up over.  I am a young female gamer and I think this idea is pretty neat, even without the buff! As a fan of the lore I would probably be pretty disappointed if I couldn't take my character out for a little fun once in awhile!

The only thing in this game that will attract or push away the immature community is the complexity of the game, or how difficult it is to be a skilled player. If they make it where you have to think to play, the kids wont last long.

And I played on an RP server (argent dawn), but there were TONS of TONS of 12 year olds.

Subscribing to a service which costs monthly is different than buying something with a one time fee.

What's the big deal for christ's sakes... how is it going to be any different from SWG of Second life for example? People honestly, stop getting stuck on a word (aka sex) every time it happens to pop up. And as for the 13 year olds you can't keep them out, and to be honest, neither should you. The more they know before they make the stupid mistake and get pregnant at 14 cause they think it's funny, the better. Or did you all forget when exactly in your lifes you started having sexual urges? Let them see the world of Conan and Robert Howard as it is- sexist, racist, dark and menacing. So what? As if the real world if better. Maybe if "mature" people stopped finally paying attention to sex and taboo-ing it every step we take then the young folk would be free of misconceptions and prejudice, and come to think of it as what it really is, our natural way of evolution.

I think they should make it a realistic buff:

+10 to sense of relief/satisfaction

You want a slice of pizza.

You want a cold beer.

You want a nap.

You no longer have any interest in talking to the person with whom you had sex.

Most of the posts here are all about as AoC were all about the sex

In my opinion, it´s a great idea to don´t damage the lore but also don´t damage the gameplay As already posted, players will NOT have sex among themselves, so we can keep cool about chat spam or anything else, and plus, it´s almost obvious you´ll get a not so important buff, so if you´re not into having a black screen for a moment and possibly paying for that you can just NOT do it...

I personally don´t care so much for the feature, but hey, it´s nice they had some time to polish out some detail like that too keep up with the lore...

I´m pretty sure Immature players won´t play the game at all, I see many here that are crazy about the WoW community, but as we can see on the interviews, Funcom is taking advantage on that, and AoC will not be able to keep the Immature players, not because it has gore/blood/sex, but for it´s complexity...

All that don´t agree please go see the great creation of Funcom, Anarchy Online and you´ll see that the community is almost 100% mature :) as it is indeed a very dificult game to play....immature players do play mostly easy to play games, such as WoW.

Ohoh big post, well I just don´t see sense for people getting so much on a topic like this, yes it´s news and we don´t have more info on the details, but relax, AoC will be great regardless, I trust Funcom on that :)
