"Adversity causes some men to break; others to break records." |
So, after hearing a few good things about the state of the game, I decided to give the game a quick try again. I logged into a trial and picked up Bounty Hunter as my profession, I'd heard that players could now hunt other player Jedi. Sweet! I'm now level 18, and after becoming bored with the overly WoW-ish legacy quests I decided to go looking for other players. I headed for Restuss, because it's all players talk about anymore, and bingo- bona fide players! Of course, I wasn't actually in Restuss as I once knew it, I was in some glorified starport. But, hey, at least I found players who weren't credit farmers. Anyhow, back to my question, I turn around to see a level 18 (the only under-90 I've seen outside of Mos Eisley, mind you) player Jedi, an overt Imperial as well, dancing and waving his glowstick around... So I'm thinking "This dude's mine." and hit the Check Bounty ability... "You can not check bounty on another player." it tells me. What?! Are Jedi not the target of Order 66? Is the game no longer set after Episode IV? Have I forgotten something, or done something wrong? Can players actually hunt other players, or was I fooled by an elaborate myth? |

Because both the Bounty Hunter and the target has to be lvl 20 or above. And the target also has to have a bounty placed on them by another player |
