Darkfall

I know it hasn't been announced yet, but i was wondering if anyone had any new or ideas about the darkfall retail release date?

As much as i would love to see this game launch i dont think it will, and if it does it may do it clumsily. Ofc i dont have proof to back that up but what gets to me is not the time of developement (afterall the vision and scope of this game is huge) but rather the lack information given thruogh out the years except a few concepts we already knew about. Its seems to have made little progress in the span of a year to indicate that itl release in 08 at all tbh. I however remain hopeful that itl someday be released and that itl be a well done game since i see so much potential to have a blast in a game like that.

The game, by concept, is the best one ever imagined. They apparently have much of it crafted, but then they have to publish/sell, and continue to grow the game after launch. Given their small origins and lack of cash crafting their dream after the majority of 10 years may not be their greatest challenge.

Their greatest challenge may be giving us a product that is given the support and investment worthy of such a dream. This is my greatest fear for Darkfall.

As for picking a specific time, my best wild guess would be late 08 or early 09, whatever the furthest out date we have. For I really have no idea, there’s so little communication and we have repeatedly seen beta estimates in years past. What I see today is no more indication than what we saw in 2004.

this suckls wish they'd just focus on sandbox elements and just freaking release.

Well perhaps the OP didn't see why people that thought this game was ever going to be released would be trolling the its forums, makes no sense to me what so ever why you would so waste your time and/or the people that do think this game will be released's time. The fact that you are here either makes you an idiot or a liar :) cuz either you just want to ruin it for us that do think this game is going to be released or some part of you still thinks it will.

As for the 2004 beta that didn't happen because they decided it was more worth it for them to do the majority of the beta testing behind closed doors, so they decided to skip that and since then they have gone through alpha and into internal beta testing and now a few weeks ago they announced a Q3 2007 closed beta, this is the first time since 2004 (which was 1 year after they began full production in greece) that they have announced a beta time line. So after 4 years of full production they are now very close to closed beta and since they have done so much testing already in their internal beta I don't think they will need more then 2-4 months of beta testing.

Lastly I feel sorry for all of you who can't dream anymore, I guess life has just defeated you and you are now to afraid to dream or hope for anything this amazing
