Wow, I thought the patch had ok improvements. BUT, the developers forgot to set this new line to true... mine was still at false. I set it to true and experienced a HUGE performance increase. No crashing yet either. Wow, how could they forget this? |

Yea this setting makes a HUGE difference. The devs said they had it at false so the testing team could turn it on and off to check the performance gains with it and they pushed it through at flase..The next patch they will set it to True. The Devs said this change will reduce memory usage by 30-40% in most machines! So it really helps alot. I know that I can now run on high settings with the last patch and this .ini change and get the same performace I was getting on balanced settings with several things turned off with almost 0 hitching. |

Yeah... kinda of "funny" that they forgot to put it at true.
I think it's because it was a test tool, but it worked so well that they left it in there but forgot to set it to "true".
But it is a good boost in FPS! :) |

Look for vgclient.ini in your Vanguard's BIN folder. My line was at the bottom of the [General] section near the top. |

Mine was the bUseEfficientTextures line. Many of the lines are actually bUse. |

From what I hear, crashing to desktop like never happens.
I rarely log into the game anymore. Hehe. I hope they merge the servers soon, then I will play often. I like the game. |
