I loved crafting in SWG. Of course I'm not playing that anymore. I've tried EQ2 and it did not do it for me. Is there any other game out there thats close as possible to crafting in SWG and theres a demand for player made products? Or anything coming down the pipeline far as a new game? Only so much level gringing running missions and killing animals I can take I'm at whit ends.

Thank you :)

I never played SWG so hard to say what kind of crafting it has.

Saga of Ryzom has nice crafting. Really hard work , but needed. Others can suggest more.

Yup ryzom has a nice crafting system. It's based around either killing mobs or harvesting for the materials you need. Theres 5 different types of materials from basic to supreme (each with better stats) and some materials that can only be used for certian racial items. For example if you want to craft a pair of magic amplifyers that are Matisian (one of the races) you will either need materials from that race (which is forest) or materials which can be used for every race. As 99.9% of everything in ryzom is player crafted, im sure you will have plety to get into.

Vanguard has a more complex craft system. but its been so long since io played it, i really cant remeber it in great detials. Sorry

Forgot about this game. I actually played a trial about a year ago and was going to sign up but at the time they wouldnt accept my check card as payment so I didnt play. Might try it again.

ps..SWG WAS great. Method of resource gathering got me hooked.

Well, As it's now free to try (level cap at 21 - but unlimited in time) you shouldnt havea problem at least sampling the craft system

Any particular reason you're not playing SWG now?  When did you last try it?

^ judging from  the fact he's played SWG for over 51 hours this week, he might be ready to suggest you try it again lol

I re activated my SWG acct the other day. I was a day 1 player from june 03. But its hard to play when you get blue screen of death every 5 min.  Planned on bringing my chef out of retirement, No such luck I guess :(

51 hours? I played alot way back. Grinded 32 profs in 2 months I dont think I played that much in a weeks time :P
