I can never understand why people continue to come to these forums to bash the same game over and over again. Take DDO just as an a example, clearly it's a niche game, why people feel they need to bash it over and over again on the same forums is beyond me. It's really really simple, we can't ALL like the SAME games. Just because WoW has huge numbers doesn't mean it will appeal to everyone, what I find comical is that as a group of people (MMORPGers/Gamers/Nerds) we are considered to be outcasts from the more popular groups. You'd think that us of all people could just let people play what they want and move on to something that they want to play.

The sting in any retort is the truth.

The site is mmorpg.com.  What do you want us to talk about?  World Peace?  Politics?

If you stare into the Abyss long enough the Abyss stares back at you. - Friedrich Nietzsche

It's called opinions and talking. What would be better? Keep mouth shut and tell no-one about games negative details?

I do prefer listen if people and learn what's good and bad in games, so I can choose what game I could like to play. Of cause people need to be understand that many times the information is colored by players personal taste of games and opinions. Also people are very emotional by they nature and hardly ever just tells pure "facts" about stuff.

I got so much
trouble on my mind
Refuse to lose.

Ok ... let me explain you why

You make example of DDO , you say not everyone likes the same games and DDO is clearly niche game.

I am D&D game system fan and fan of MMO games. In my eyes (and clearly the eyes of 99% of D&D fanbase) DDO was abomination,
a spit in the face of everything D&D represents. They took a great game licence that should make for a game that can share market with WOW easily and turned it into a failure.

Now ok... i dont mind really ... except

DDO is holding D&D licence for MMO. And other companies will look at DDO and say " Ok , guys at Turbine did their best. But it is clear market is not interested in D&D MMO"

I took upon myself to write as often as I can about - Why DDO really  failed. So the real word gets out, and hopefully we see another attempt at D&D MMO

''Tis an ill wind that blows no minds.

Don't worry. There's a batch of new MMOs on the horizon, and soon we'll be able to bash some brand new games.

Until then, yeah - it's pretty much going to be bashing the same old games.
