What don't you like about the world, to bland? To grim? To cheesy? |

It was a toss-up between Techs and Lightbearers. Sort of even liked the idea about the tree-hugging vistas and the wandering Travellers. But in the end the Techs drew me as they appear to be the faction that mostly will have control over crafting stations and such. |

The cool thing about FEs faction template is that you can start as one and "migrate" to others as your ideals change...its very adaptive and adds alot to the ability to fully develop a characters background as one develops... For instance start as a Tech and end as a Traveler at higher levels...sort of the geek goes hood idea lol Personaly I am going for the tried and true "fall from grace"...rather "fall to insanity" in this case... Going to start as an Enforcer then progressively migrate all the way through LB and Vista and end as a CHOTA...where I will remain doing bad things to people...every story needs a bad guy....see you on the battlefield girls... |

When you gain faction, you LOSE faction with opponents... and you always lose twice as much as you gain. If you gain 1000 faction with a faction, you also gain 500 with its allies... and lose 2000 with its enemy, and 1000 with each of the enemy's allies. Wandering 'around the wheel' just ends up with you being KOS to ALL factions. |

Incorrect...you would not be KOS to all factions....as you progress around the wheel you faction rating would move in kind.... Each faction move would require longer time in that faction to recoupe and evently go positive enough to move and take direct missions from the next faction...it can be done...but yes it would not be quick...unless done very early in level and then whats the point. Its a journey for sure...and thats kind of the point. |

I've changed my mind, a friend of mine told me a rumor that Vistas can train multiple wild animals. From what he told me Vista faction players have the potential of making an army of tamed animals. I hope the rumor is true. |

I'm going to play the "bad guys" LOL, honestly, have no idea what this game's about..... guess I'll have to start paying more attention. "Just because you aren't paying doesn't mean it's not PTW." - Amaranthar |

my original intention was to play techs because i liked the idea of maintaining technology and all that, but now it seems that on here and on the official forums a large majority of people seem intent on going tech so i think im gonna go for travelers as i like the idea of being a merchant and i like the dark persona. I really think if the game is to be a moderate success they need to give more appeal to some of the less popular factions to save the game ending up a techfest. ![]() |

I'm thinking maybe Tech. I always go range rather than melee. Enforcers are good with rifle and pistol, but I'm not sure they appeal to me otherwise. Tech are good with pistol only, but their tradeskills appeal to me. The thing with FE seems to be that the group you might feel inclined to on philosophical grounds might not be the one with skills you favour. I'm starting to get excited about FE anyway. Looks like the game for me, if the art isn't too off-putting. |

Probably lightbringer or vista depending on how skills play out.

I voted tech, but really, I'm probably going to look at a poll like this closer to launch and play the lowest played faction other than CHOTA. "I’d rather work on something with great potential than on fulfilling a promise of mediocrity." |

Everyone is pretty much a bad guy. Even the factions that want to restore 'good' are willing to do it through terrible means. Definetely a cool perk to the game. No white hats and no black hats as the dev's say.
With that being said, the Lightbearer faction makes me want to puke so Ill be going Traveler just out of disdain for their enemy. |
