Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

I stayed away for a while and just decided to check up here today. But I see nothing has changed with this game, it's still on the rapid decline.

Judging from it's review I just read on this sites home page I can say my initial statement is very accurate.  In a way I believe you can compare this game to SWG in many ways especially in population or should I say lack of.  Both have a skeleton population and both are terrible as well as being run by the same company.

No matter what you can think of in defense of this game all you have to do is see the population and that will tell you just how good is really is. If it was a good game like a few say then why has everyone left?  Players don't desert a good game, they leave bad ones.

  Do you know the population is "skeleton" because you have played both games recently or because you have read posts saying it is low on these forums?

But I don't completely agree, good games can have low population. The fact that VG sucks is proved by how many people originally bought it, and left in a manner of weeks/months.

There are good games out there which have a small, but loyal following, and are acclaimed games.

VG simply sucks, too bad for Brad.

When you say jump on here to see how the game was, are you refering to these forums or the game?

You are a broken record. The game doesn't suck.  For the most part, what drives people away are performance and crashing issues, not the game itself.  In which case, I expect many people to try it again after SoE works out the performance issues.

Actually, the game is very fun and on an incline.  SOE is aggressively improving this game.

I dont think you've logged on to SWG recently. A couple of their servers show very heavy and heavy (without a server merge).

No matter what you can think of in defense of this game all you have to do is see the population and that will tell you just how good is really is. If it was a good game like a few say then why has everyone left?  Players don't desert a good game, they leave bad ones.

I find it hilarious that the so called hated SWG post NGE has just as many servers that are far more populated then Vangaurd will be after a it's 3-1 server merge.

Since neither game posts population figures, most of what you are saying is speculation.  Reports from SWG lately have shown an increasing population, in the eyes of those who are currently playing it.  VG has its problems, but the server merges should help and they can work on growing from there.

Population isn't everything, I'm playing EVE right now and while its 200K or so subs may not seem like much, it sure seems like a very populated world since there is only one.
