People take video games too seriously.

Way too many posts on this thread to read and catch up.  I did see some of Rick's posts and got a laugh.  All I can say is that the game should be viewed on its merrit alone.  People need to let go of the whole SWG thing.  I did quite some time ago.  Being mad at SOE for the SWG thing is like not seeing another M. Night Shyamalan movie because there wasn't a twist ending to The Village.  Giving people, and companies, only one chance is not good.  Everyone deserves a second chance.

Still if you go to the SWG vets forum you can't deny hazmats does have a verry strong point there

Heh ok.. let go of SWG...   umm  EQ2 got major overhauls after release, can anyone here say VANGUARD, ya ya..you can say who developed it supported it etc.. but in the end SOE put their seal of approval on it when other companies wouldn't.  Matrix Online? 

SURE  SOE's track record is 100% sterling..  except for SWG..

If SWG was an aberration for SOE I might be inclined to agree with you but the fact is, I think SOE as a MMO publisher leaves a lot to be desired.

I played in the POTBS beta for a bit, found the game to have changed radically from what was originally intended, so much so that I've completely lost interest in the game.  What I experienced was just a typical MMO with a different skin. 

I suspect however that this game will not be the bug ridden mess that other games released by SOE have been but I also know that the direction this game has gone has left me uninterested in at like I thought I would've been.

Why is this topic still active, it's just for haters and really has no relevance to this game. People give SOE just too little respect... so so SAD.

Uhhh... there was a twist, a big one. It turned out they were living a secluded colonial lifestyle in a modern world.

now SoE thats a one trick pony...
