Hello anyone... I played EQ when it first came out for a couple years - been hopping around to all the new games and ran accross this Package deal in the comp store - Evolution .. 5 in one expansions -- The problem comes when I go to play ... the graphics are worse then the old Ultima 3 games .. (little exageration) but really .. no way people are playing this game in the millions with the graphics I am seeing on my screen .. It is as if My color palate is set to 16 colors and everything in the game is 3 sided .. I remember being blown away when eq first came out - now my character looks like a TOON and the world looks worse ... Is there something I have done wrong in loading up the game ? I know in UO if you load in the new 3d uo you get the lame new graphics but can play in the original version ... I just hope there is a way for me to get the original graphics to load up for me ... OR i am going to drop EQ like a hot potato -- Any suggestions are welcome ... I just know I have done something terrible wrong on this one ... maybe I have to purchase the 4.99 basic game and reload ?? |

You've probably figured it out by now, but if not.. When you're logging in, there is an options button. When you installed the game it automatically set the graphics for what it thought your computer could handle. Anyway, click on options and it will take you to the Luclin Character model selection screen. Choose which ones you want to see the new models for. If you have a low end computer, you will want these off, they create quite a bit of lag. After you're done selecting the character models, continue on to the next screen. Here you can select your level of detail. After you finish selecting, log into the game and if it's too laggy you can go back to options and change your selections until you get the game running the way you want. Hope that helps |
