On the heels of the release of Neocron Evolution 2.2, Reakktor Media has announced that they have a new content package under development for Neocron. "After the successful release of Neocron Evolution 2.2, a new content package is currently under development. The motto for this update is "Back to the Roots" and it contains the relocation of Dome of York resident factions back to the city of Neocron. The relations between the factions will also be adjusted to create new exciting conflict potential for the players. Besides the adjustments of the game content, all happenings will be presented in form of in-game events and articles in the webzines Neocronicle and Voice of the Resistance." its not that everyone's moving back to nc, but that everyone is moving back to their NC1 hq's. Thus, TG (twilight guardian) are moving back to the canyon, FA (fallen angels) to techhaven, etc. also, all the pepper park factions (BD, TS, etc.) will be back at their old hqs. I don't know what they're planning to do with DOY (dome of york), but I don't think they'll just leave it there as nothing.

Originally posted by tigris67if you don't understand those acryonyms (NC, DOY , TG) then you either dont play neocron...or if you do play and dont know those then...you dont play very well. so why are they moving us back to our original HQ's? i mean i love the canyon and im glad for that, but what is the point? |

More importantly for those of us not familiar with the game, is it worth a try? Did Evo 2.2 bring anything significantly better to the game?

well, apparently they're moving back because the devs felt that nc2 and doy didn't really bring to the game what they were hoping, and they felt, as does lot of the nc community, that the game was more fun back with the nc1 factions and stuff.
As for evol 2.2, it's main focus was to balance out the game. I think it was fairly successful, although there are still some issues to be dealt with. But its still a fun game for anyone who likes that type of stuff. |

And before you spout the apparent comeback I'm sure you'd make, I played the game. The devs and players like yourself are why I am not playing now. |
