I kinda stopped caring about this thing when I heard it was gonna be racing, of course I assumed they meant cars and stuff... hearing that its gonna be what he said... I'm a bit more excited about this game ^^

As someone deeply involved with the project I can safely say that it's moving away from the atypical racing genre, not only with the beasts aspect and the card system that's being created/worked on, but a lot of elements that have been so far proposed and the great variety of ideas that are getting moved around is pretty damn cool. The basic concepts both idea wise and attached art show great potential and uniqueness. So really a lot of assumptions based on the whole "racing" label are getting either tossed out the window or altered into a different direction. With a lot of work still to go, it's already shaping up to be one hell of an experience and going to be one smexy game.

I still don't know why i wasn't accepted as part of the team for this.
I had the best ideas out of anyone. i even played 9 Dragons for a bit and i bought a TON of crap from the item mall.I just don't understand it.good thing my anger is finally gone and i'm over it. i'm too busy playing other games anyways. In any case, i am rooting for this game.I will play it for sure. Be daring,be bold, and please don't forget about the pvpers. |

Acclaim seems to be making game after game after game...
all medicore, kinda boring, alot of grinding. Why don't they concentrate in making a good game instead? i hope this one will be it. |

This Parry guy is one of those who can change the original aspect of the genre both player and outsider-wise. He and hes team always came up with good ideas and making an mmo that built by players cant be bad. Thumbs up!
ps.: dont forget about 2Moons /seriously, what the hell happened at there?/ |

Originally posted by DeadeX I could be wrong but doesnt acclaim simply localize games (publish) rather than actually 'make' them? |

Originally posted by SupernerdYou don't have to be accepted like the other games , once you sign up with in a day you have access to the forums which is where it all takes place, the pending thing you'll see in your acclaim account overall is for the beta phases which are sufice to say, quite a while away yet, so if you signed up for the project you're in. |

God this interview sounds in big part like a commercial or something, nevertheless the project looks interesting.

Eh, wait and see is my thought, Pokemon on horse back? not sure that will be a smash hit, but then again what do I know. |

Originally posted by chaintm From the concept images so far, I see no pokemon anywhere. Or horses come to that lol. "When people don't know much about something, they tend to fill in the blanks the way they want them to be filled in. They are almost always disappointed." - Will Wright |

It's a racing game for heavens sake. There is already a MMO out there with that theme and they are bleeding people. Chances that this ever goes live are slim and none. It was strictly a publicity stunt. Moving on..... |

I signed up for it but forgot about it till this interview ... thankfully I can fully say that i had nothing to do with that. I would be completely and utterly embarressed with that "concept". When i first heard it was a MMO racing game I envisioned a futuristic cannonball run (without the comedy) where racers will do everything in thier power to come in first ... whether it be speeding by thier opponents or ramming them out of thier way. two games that come to mind on what i hoped it was like are Road Rash (old genesis game) and Destruction Derby. but a game where you ride animals and train them? who the hell came up with these stupid ideas? want my input? "fire" all 34000 of the online designers and start over. |

Originally posted by AnjelusX Great to see you finally on this site Anj, too bad you aren`t frequent here. I may come to chat from time to time but I really have lost all energy for the project, power to you guys but it seems as though Perry is still lost and/or too busy. Originally posted by DeadeX They haven`t made a game since they were resurrected, they simply buy out an existing (so far eastern, Korean and Chinese) MMO and then alter a few things, add ads and such. This will technically be their first IP. Originally posted by Rehmes You`re right. I feel as though David Perry is admitting some mistakes but not others. He originally said, if 1% of the contributers had quality ideas, not if 1% of the registered members contributed, he didn`t call it and actually he was totally off base. The project was a chaotic mess and it took a group of us constantly critiquing the process for it to get changed. It`s still a very unstable, uninspired, thoughtless process. They should have done a lot more to make sure we the contributers were taken care of. There are however some great conceptualizers over there, people I would be glad to work with and hopefully will have a chance to once I get my project off the ground. It`s kind of ironic that the "industry professionals" at Project Top Secret seem to be putting out the least professional effort within the project. As for this article, I would have liked to see some actual hard questions, not a previously agreed upon set of Q and A`s that make the "journalist" here look more like a friend than a unbias researcher. - Burying Threads Since 1979 - |

This is straight from David Perry: “Moderators, our one and only purpose in Top Secret is for the community to work constructively together to make a game… together, and we must progress forward every day. Our forums are not for circular arguments, soap-boxing, steamrolling or even pointless discussions with no useful end, which will actually absorb precious team time. Discussion is important, especially if it’s moving us towards completion, anything else should be done elsewhere on their own time, without impacting our entire community. If someone just keeps spamming our members with opinions, or actively tries to fuel arguments, or continually tries to hold up the project, please warn them, or ban them if they continue. This is a real team scenario, and in the real world you fire them… There's no free hall pass for people who prevent the team from getting their job done. (In fact, just like in real companies, I think our community will thank us.) Our goal for the readers and members of our forums is to help them actively contribute to this massive project, to get up to speed really fast, to get updated really fast and to feel they know what’s going on, and where we are headed at all times. Currently the forums feel messy with too many agendas, so much time is wasted reading stuff that goes nowhere. As moderators you are tasked to keep the forums really tight and clean. If certain people are only here to complain, they should leave, again, in the real world, if someone doesn’t like the team they are on, they resign, and I would hope they will do the same thing here. Any politics for no good reason, pointless rants or threads that have been abandoned need to be removed to get the potency of the site back up. When team members are willing to share their valuable time, I want them to be able to find useful information, and find that all the threads that do exist actually help them understand the project better. This is even more important now as we will be getting development teams trying to get their heads around the project. If threads or posts fail to meet the core objectives, please delete them (don’t close them) and PM the member so they know that post or thread has been pruned. This will make our forums easier to navigate and much more informative. If a thread is looking like it’s self-destructing, or heading nowhere useful, then feel free to post a warning post, that unless restored to a productive direction, this thread will be removed. Please make our forums lean and highly informative. That’s your daily objective.” Now I understand why only about 50 people from the "30,000" are actually participating in the project. When I first heard about the project I expected thousands of people to be all over it . With this recent info I now fully understand why so many simply pop in look around and never come back. Who would want to participate in that kind of atmosphere? |
