Heh, I always buy 4 Snickers Bars every morning from the 7 Elven; it used to cost under 3 bux.Now it costs me almost 5 bucks.
Hey i bought a $2.00 24 oz. bottle of Coke the other day and the machine didn't even have a slot for coins;it just had a slot  for singles...
Prices Go Up People. In general things cost more and more everyday. This is just how the world works my friends.

Anyways,
I do believe Age of Conan will be a step above all other mmorpgs.

A higher monthly fee could be easily justified.Heck, I would even pay 24.95 a month to play this game.
Heck,I would even  pay 149.95 for a special "Collectors Edition" box(if they included a real bronze 2 hand axe with the name Conan engraved on it or something neato)

I think that this game will raise the bar and set a new standard in the genre for future mmorpgs.
Charging $19.95 per month for a game with all that Age of Conan will offer only makes sense to me.
I hope someone important from Funcom reads this. Someone could be gettin' a raise.

Why would you want to pay MORE for a MMO?

Yay,oh i definately feel it would be worth it AND to prove it to you all......
Anyone who agrees with me in this thread,I will offer you an invite into my AoC guild when it does go gold.

That is if only if Funcom does decide to charge 19.95 per month or even just 18.95 to maintain a profit for this NEXT GEN game that I feel will be so phenominal.

I'd hate to be led by a no-good, condescending person. By the way, you have been supporting your suggestion by claiming an unreleased game will be phenomenal. Innovation is necessary to attract a larger audience, but that doesn't make it more expensive. Blind agreement is just plain foolish.

Yes, prices go up, what you are missing is the value of those items. Has the added cost to the stamp added any value to the mail being sent out? Has the price increase on the Snickers caused them to taste any better? Did that bottle of Coke quench your thirsty more effectively? Chances are, the answer is no. Which is the main reason why I use e-mail now, why I don't eat Candy bars, and when I purchase a soda, I get a fountain drink or the "generic" version of whatever it is I am drinking.

...... it will be worth a price hike.
hey i prefer to call it pop and i drink from a bubbler okay? i live in the real world
im not trying to argue with you guys,i was just making a suggestion and hopefully,
IF Funcom decides to charge 19.95 a month
by that time you should be okay with it.
Cause it will be well worth it just like you said.

I can't believe you edited another person's post and put up a fake one as a replacement. That's not funny, but it's rather revolting.

On the Age of Conan site. They clearly state that the price of the monthly fee will average on the normal amount for any MMO, which is about $14.99USD. I HIGHLY doubt that it would go up, not yet. The only thing that would make the monthly fee go up, would be that they were confident in their quest to crush WoW which I'm sure that if they've seen all the other new MMO's. They shouldn't be.

I would not play the game if its monthly fee was over 15 bucks, unless it was crazy amazing great. Be as idealistic as you want to, but at your own risk; the final product is never as good as you wanted it to be or what the devs said it would be.

Prices in MMO's were set early on when development costs were much higher. Now there is more competition and $14.95 isn't standard unless you have a top game. Above that would kill marketing. Most would pay $15.95 for a game they really like and not make a big deal out of it but around $20 there would be too much bitching.
