Just checked your profile - you are 20 and have listed in your sig that you have played 20 MMORPG's. Can I ask - Do you honestly believe you fit their target audience? Or are you just wanting to play the game for free? That said they stopped sending invites until June - so there maybe a new batch of invites going out this Friday. |

A lot of those MMOs on that list were tested and played during the open beta, free period. I want to play TR because I think I will enjoy the game. MMO's I've played with dedication: COH/V, EQ, EQ2, WoW, EVE, RF Online, LOTRO <- Was in beta but when release came, I was finally burnt out on High Fantasy |

I'm guessing the way they do invites are random, they take the list of apps thin close their eyes and pick, lol. If you think they look at every app and say hey this guys looks good, lol, nope there are to many to take the time to do that. But I'm sure there are some factors, maybe they let a computer pick by certain key words or criteria that was listed in the beta apps, who knows. I think it's a crap shoot to be honest.

I think its also decided on how soon you signed up, like if you signed up when the sign ups came up then youve got much more chance getting into this stage than if you signed up just now. But i will say betas are for helping out the devs to get rid of errors and bugs, not just for a free game to play. ^^ |

Fair enough - thats what open betas, trial periods and demos are for so people can try before they buy. Open Betas also let the devs stress test the servers by having large numbers of people on. With 100,000 people signed up for beta I am sure they arent hand selecting people for invites. So as someone said they must have some sort of program where they can apply filters and how many people they want and get a list. |
