Sick of the classic High Fantasy, as  you can see from my list below.

EVE is not my game, it's too anti-social - I am waiting on TR, but I'm bored of waiting.

P2P only, I hate f2p games.

What is there for me to play?

Sounds like you just need a break from MMOs until TR comes out so you'll be more excited to play :P

You might as well play a game of a different genre tbh, it seems a little pointless playing a different MMO completely new to you and paying the monthly fee for it but then again if you are are getting really bored then try LOTRO, it's pretty alright for the social aspect actual gameplay is average imo.

It seems like alot of individuals are searching for a new MMO to play. Two that caught my eye because you can control multiple toons are Sword of the New World and Gods and Heros. But niether one is out so I am stuck waiting and wondering which MMO to play next.

maybe you should try another genre for awhile. I really enjoy RTS games, and you said you've played WC3 so I assume you enjoy them too. If you have some friends that like PC gaming, try out AoE III. Only need one disc for LAN play (download no CD cracks - i did it at school and practically got my whole hall playing. it was sweet.) It held us off for a good 2-3 weeks. I still enjoy playing it though.

I would definitely agree that you need a break from MMOs though. If nothing really satisfies you, then maybe you're just tired of doing the same crap over and over again.

I agree that trying a different genre for a while is a good idea.

I'm in a similar situation.  I actually cancelled all my subscriptions a few months ago and I'm rediscovering console-style games.  Currently playing Tomb Raider on my PC and Okami on my PS2.  There is something really fun and simple about the straightforward gameplay that console games offer.

Sigh, done everything y'all are talking about.  I have other hobbies, I have a wedding coming up, I have been playing other genres (WC3, is RTS) as well as my Wii.  I guess I will just wait for TR.  Glad to see you that are enjoying it though.

See everyone in TR!!!!!
*edit*

I saw you suggested play as a LAN...I have no friends :( I'm living with my fiance and we play the Wii together, but we recently moved to a new location (New job for me, Network Administration).  Right now I tie myself over with Amazing Books, The Wii with the Mrs., and of course WC3.  I just want TR soooo bad.  I am also trying to help Elantia Online get themselves started

I've been in the same boat with some other long-time MMO friends of mine for a while now. We all played SWG for a long time, but we became quickly burnt out on the EQ2, Vanguard, WoW fantasy stuff.

Waiting on Tabula Rasa now as well. Hopefully there will be a big beta tester invite flood soon and a lot of us get in :)

-----------------------------------------
The MMO genre needs innovators. People not afraid to deviate from the "WoW is an ATM machine" mentality and think outside the box to make something truly different and fun. I'm sick of paying $50 for virtual treadmills.

-Even samurai have teddybears and even teddybears get drunk-

Well, you could go for the latest in the MMO community; The Pub. Amazing social interaction with mobs that are totally unpredictable. It also has permadeath and you can get drunk.
Major thing in it is social interaction. However with the drunkstate you can achieve for a few bucks, it gets very simple so it's a good place for newbies. Try it out until something good comes out.

Played so far: 9Dragons, AO, AC, AC2, CoX, DAoC, DnL, DR, DDO, Ent, EvE, EQ, EQ2, FoMK, FFO, Fury, GW, HG:L, HZ, L1, L2, M59, MU, NC1, NC2, PS, PT, R:O, RF:O, RYL, Ryzom, SL, SB, SW:G, TR, TCoS, MX:O, UO, VG, WAR, WoW...
It all sucked.
