Hi all,
I've been playing guild wars off and on for about 6 months, in that time i've kept to myself and basically played as a single player game, this is one of the things I love about Guildwars it has a really good storyline and as good single player fun as most offline games.

But now im at the stage where I want to start taking the next steps.

I've canceled my guild (specifically created so people wouldn't send guild invites) yes I was totally anti social.

Probably wondering why I play an online game if I solo, well I spent years in other games like EQ, Meridian etc where you were forced to group and it burnt me out, I don't mind grouping and love talking to people but I do not believe an online game hasto force you to group
So questions from a not so new newbie.

1)looking for a populated guild who don't mind a UK player, im more interested in PVE but willing to learn PVP, mature people please adults, but I do love having fun just tired from other games of the 12 year olds, and yes I know not all twelve year olds are bad.

2)I am a ranger, still have the original orange tiger its now level 20, what kind of pet should i go looking for and where/why what different benefits

3)I am using atm tyrian armor (hunters) and along bow 15-28  damage +20% two handed, what should I be looking for or to buy (I have okay money but no idea on prices etc) is there anyone out there who would help me kid my guy out without making my bank cry.

Sorry for all the questions thankyou for reading :)

1) Can't help you there.

2) All pets are the same, with slight differences.  Search pet under guildwiki.org

3) Spend 5k to craft a weapon from weaponsmith with max inhereted mod.  Add prefix and suffix upgrade to it, then customize it.

1) In game in towns you'll see many guilds recruiting, it's best not to just take an invite but take the time to talk to the person recruiting you. Ask about the sorts of people in his guild and the things they do together as a guild, as after all what's the point in being in a guild if you don't do activies as a group.
Another place to look is Guild Wars Guru This is a specific sub section of their forum aimed at guilds looking to recruit. You may also wish to post a thread in the Looking For Guild forum to detail the sorts of things youre looking for.

2) All pets output the same damage, with some controversy over the bears. They have an extra skill which some say lowers dps. But basically the type of pet is just eye candy. Any pet, with the right skills will perform the same. It's worth noting that how you use them will affect their performance though. You might want to check out the Pet Guide on wiki. With note to the evolution section.

3) As for weapons, well depends what you're uising, 15-28 is max damage so that's fine. All weapons have a damage mod, that used to be inherent but is not inscribable.
Examples are "Damage +15% (While health is over 50%)" this mod is regarded as the best in the game and is generally referred to as 15^50.
If you're using skills that inflict poison go for a bow string which lengthens the duration of poison. You catch my drift...

1)  Im usually do rare recruitment for my guild, and normally only close friends in it anymore due to stuff that has happened in the past. ((fights between guild members, drama, all that bullcrap))... and plus when I was away for a little while one of the officers left and the entire guild left with her.  So now I only accept people I know, or can get to know really quick and trust.

2)  Can't really help much because I haven't really played a ranger that extensively.

3)  Same as #2
