I say this because I don't want to have to farm PVE ever. I hate PVE. PVE is for total losers. If you really enjoy spending all that time fighting against AIs to improve your gear so you can PVP vs people who you have an avalance of gear advantage over be my guest, Im not suggesting getting rid of that option.... just adding a single server for people like me.... who hate PVE and love balanced PVP
The items people use on a loot server would be different, but they would be balanced. Everyone would use "mediocre" stuff that is easier to attain .... and thus PVP would be based on SKILL completely and not gear at all. That one loser that gets the sword of 1000 truths or whatever would not get to run around owning people with it and feeling "skilled" because he farms for 18 hours a day in mommy's basement. Get it? See AC 1 for a perfect example of how this makes your game instantly legendary. They had 8 regular servers and 1 PVP server. This was a place where you didn't NEED to follow the lore. You didn't need to do the new content that got added (no one did) and you can still have an insane time fighting with other players , having guild wars, controlling dungeons and leveling grounds, and raiding TOWNS. I hate the thought that I can "max out" my gear by PVEing a billion hours and then some "new content" gets added and I have to re-start the process..... I hate "pve to pvp" type mind set. I had that in WoW..... i wasted WAAAAY To much time "pveing" so I could gain power for PVP..... i really hate myself for doing that much PVE even if it was for PVP.... cuz they just came out with burning crusade and were like "oh start PVEing again if you want to PVP more" ..... that is pure ass. Never force players to PVE if they don't want to PVE. Have item drop in PVP and suddenly there is no reason to raid for end game gear....... you can get anything in the game just by PVPing ....and STUPIDLY hard to attain items aren't worth farming because you can LOSE them. they are no perma-upgrades that give you an advantage that never ever goes away. |

Not sure if youve done some reading but PvP in AoC gets you top gear for pvp. Simply kill people in the borderlands and earn bloodcoins and use them to buy pvp armor. Those armors wil not be available to PvE players, though it is of my understanding that PvE players can make armor to match the top PvP armor (i could be wrong so dont quote me on that). What i am certain of is that by simply pvping people in the borderlands you can attain the top gear. So there....instead of PvE to PvP you can PvP to do more PvP. Hope that helps. |

is he talking about player corpse looting? despite all his flawed logic, I like player corpse looting and think it should be on a separate server. I will not be playing on it, but there is a specific niche group that is just dying for it. |

Remember that PvE and PvP have nothing to do with eachother in AoC. You get PvP gear from PvP and PvE gear from PvE. And full loot dont work in level based MMOs. It could work if a sweord always just were a sword, but hrer it is a big diffrence between a lvl 3 sword and a lvl 80 sword. |

You could always get a petition going once we have a Age of Conan official forum. If enough people wants a FFA PvP server then you will get one. |

The only real PvP is one that allows for player looting. I hope that AOC has a server with player looting. |
