Play what makes you happy in the pants and shut the fuck up about everything else.

I refuse to play this game again until they have visible helmets. At this point, I would actually prefer thet erase the characters, and just have little helmets with weapons running around. Damn. I never though a game would make me have such feelings for headware.

If they're not adding helmets, could they at least add... I don't know... something like... Playhead Magazine or something? Ya know, a little something we could take back to our poorly performing houses and get our "headgrear" rocks off?

Could I at least get some kinda visor? Work with me Sigil, that's just like half a hat...

"In EVE, no one gives a damn about a fair fight." - chafin

Your post is somewhat tongue in cheek, but I never had an issue of no helmets.  People always say they want games to have deep character customization, and VG had about a dozen sliders so you could change your characters face, yet you want to go and put a helmet on it and cover it up?

I actually leave my helmet turned off in LotRO because I want folks to see the glory of my avatar... gray Mohawk and all.....

They're busy testing things like raiding and fellowships that should have been in at release, how can you expect them to implement simple things like helmets that should have been in at release?

Yes, I suppose it is a bit tongue in cheek... It's really just a bad joke.  A sad attempt to add some humor to the site, us gamer’s are an overanalyzing bunch though aren’t we.

I love you all.

Oh, and the sig is large due to the fact that it's words are very important to me. I had it as a sig for a while, but after going to Iraq and becoming a disabled Veteran the words carry a bit ore meaning now. I served in the Air Force for 8 years and would do 30 more if I could.

Its like an old EQ1 thing, many people didnt wear helmets in EQ1 cos they wanted to see faces.

I guess it kinda stuck, its on there list and will get sorted.

While I can certainly appreciate that some people like the ability to customize the fine details of their characters face, I just think it's ass backwards to have twentyeleven sliders for control the size, slant, shape and flare of your characters nostrils, but only 3 hair styles. 4 if you count bald.

You have all sorts of control over the minutiae of your characters, which no one will see unless they get right up in your face, and even then, in all likelihood won't see it.

But the big things? The stuff that's readily apparent, skin color, hair style, and so forth? Not much control over it at all.

While helms aren't a big deal to me since I just turn them off anyway, and in the bigger picture there are far bigger problems that need to be dealt with, the fact that they still aren't in coming up on the 4 month mark just adds very strongly to the feeling that we're dealing with an amateur hour crew here.

But the crazy thing is....those sliders do nothing to make you look different.

You're either this

Agreed, the sliders don't change too much. I wish there were more hairstyles also. I pretty much want helmets in this game becuase the hair looks like a dog pooped on my head.

Besides, as a Cleric, you need a sick looking helmet to make you feel like more of a man.
