I attended the Games Day Toronto conference and got to try WAR out for the day =)
I posted a detailed review of my experience with the game on my blog, along with 7 videos I took =) http://nazgum.wordpress.com/2007/05/06/war-beta-review-games-day-toronto/ We got footage of Black Orc PVP in both scenarios, the Squig Herder PVPing, PVE footage of the Zealot, the Magus and the Warrior Priest; and a bunch of interesting side things such as a Hell Cannon firing, squigs, To quickly summarize if anyone doesn't wish to read the full review, the game in its current condition is amazing. The graphics are much better then I expected. It plays smooth. It's fun. And the classes are excellent. Black Orc was crazy fun and had many abilities, and the Goblins were very detailed and had animations to match their personality (when they pull the bow string back they struggle and shake while holding it, which added a lot to their character imo). The starting zones for Chaos were great; rocks with eyes that watch you; things floating in mid air for no reason; a swirling chaotic sky above you; Empire was a little more dull visually but that is expected. Overall this game looks amazing so far =) |

Amazing! Thanks alot!
Though its still ages until the game arrives in the stores so therefore I have chosen not to read up or get too excited cus that will make me mad :) If I try to forget it it will come to me faster! |

It's very late / early over here in the UK and I just found this review.... was going to come here and post, but loan and behold its already here >.<
Ahh well good job Im not at work in the morning if the info is going to start coming in I'll probably wait up. I like this part "The first thing that impressed me as I saw this game was the graphics. I had not expected the graphics to be that great from the videos floating around the web and the screenshots I had seen, but wow do they do this game little justice." |

looks WAY better than the alpha videos, and imo it doesn't look like warcraft anymore which is a plus.

WOW! These are some awesome vids. Great stuff man! The orcs and gates of Ekgrund looks pretty damn cool. I love how its feeling more medieval and epic with each new vid that's released. Can't wait for the finished product! |

There was a gaming convention and I missed it!!?? darn! Hey thanks for capturing the video and posting it here on the site for all of us in the community to get a look at. Ya I liked the goblin anumations too, the sounds are what really cracked me up. Reminded me of playing mario 64 as far as sounds.
