Nice screenshots. While I am a LOTRO fan and VG is not my kind of game (my computer would probably disappoint me as well), I wish all you who are enjoying this game well. I feel that VG, once it is up to speed, will provide good entertainment to a significant demographic of MMO gamers. Happy Adventuring!

Skip, you can try using the stickied resource at the top of this forum to see if VG will be likely to run on your PC. Meanwhile, hope you have loads of fun in LotRO. My new babe.

Great shots wish my comp would run half as decent as that in game i really liked this game well what i could play of it i guess that when i upgrade my machine i will be back to play pls keep the images coming as this just may make a few of the VG haters change their mind.

Besides i'm not in a guild, love grouping but are enjoying my solo adventure's, crafting, harvesting. My socializing consist more chat talk and mind talk ingame. Still not grouped as its not that needed at the moment for the things i'm doing currently. Besides its a mmorpg so no rush or hurry their will be time enough to group if i'm still enjoying Vanguard after some more months afcourse.

I see they still do not have anti aliasing. It's a shame too, those are rather nice but the jaggies just ruin it.

Some really nice shots here. I very much doubt that my two year old system would run this game very well though - and it isn't too bad 1.8ghz amd 64, 2gb dual channel DDR 3000 - but my graphics card would let me down - nvidia 7300 gt. Bloody nice looking game though - I like the tree models and the textures look pretty sharp and well bump-mapped and the buildings and stonework looks nice too. I run LOTRO on very, very nearly max settings at about 50fps and I'm loving the artwork, design and style of that game, but the general terrain and building textures don't look quite as good as vanguard by the looks of things, also some of the models - like the trees, look better in vanguard too Not too sure about the artwork and zone design - it's hard to judge from looking at the few screenies here and in other threads - but I see both games trying to that living, breathing world feel. I'm watching how things go with Vanguard, but at the moment I'm having a lot of fun playing and exploring LOTRO - it'd take a lot to peel me away from that game right now. Am I right in thinking that Vanguard is made by the original team from Verant Interactive of EQ fame? Brad McQuaid rings a distant bell, didn't he design the FV RP server setup for EQ? Anyway... hope you're all having fun with VG, and I hope that the devs pull their bloody fingers out and get it sorted, fixed and running stable for you. Been hearing a lot of negativity about this game, but I know how fickle the MMO community is these days. I might be a big fan of LOTRO right now, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in other titles too, or that I feel the need to pointlessly bash and lie about other games because it's not what I enjoy, other than stating my opinion on them (which I try and back up with valid examples). I hope you get many more players to help fill up that rich world of your's. Some of the screenies here really did pique my interest quite a bit, but I guess it's now down to the developers to deliver what they originally promised. |
