i think lord of the rings online had a good idea when forcing the names in the game to live up to the lore... if im correct, there was some rules to it: like you couldnt name your elf "sexyboy" or anything stupid... it had to be something that had resembelence to other names in the lore like faramir, aragorn or something |

Many peaople need numbers!! I usually go by Wiper. if its already used, i name my character Wip3r with a 3 as an E. its not as cool but i get the name i want. nad if i meet people i've been friends with in other mmo's they will recognice me. names like 4$tr0n4ut or anny names like that are stupid i think... and hard to read and add to friend/block lists but i agree it would be nice if all the characters had unique names. but at some point it would just be names like poopeater left.. and even if numbers are not allowed the i plan to start this game early so i get my name. if i dont get anny of those i'll get really pissed. its not fun to go by a name you yourselfe dont recognice. |

I think must be a option wich the game putts you a name, depending of class , region like ancient names :) |
