1) What time is the last time we can log in for beta...? (I've heard tonight, 28th, bla bla bla)

2)When beta servers go down, will they come back up for retail?

3) How long will they kep our characters after beta ends?

4)are there gamecards?

2)Im sure they will be the same servers as used in beta....But they will be wiped so all of your character information will be lost

2)yes, may be added servers as well

3)no idea.....but they will be kept

1. Last time will be on Monday April 26th 9pm (PDT) They will be down til retail on the April 27th 9pm (PDT)

2. All currently online servers will be present at retail launch.

3. No "Official" statement on this has been made, however a good guess would be between 1-3 months.

4. Yes there are Game Cards available for the game, available at i.e. Amazon

Q 5. Chronicle 1 at launch ? Is Chronicle 1 an expansion ? Will we have to pay for other Chronicles ?

A 5. No, due to slow progress in the translation progress Chronicle 1 will be delayed til June. Chronicle 1 is an expansion and will increase world size by about 1/4 among other things. No you won't have to pay extra. There are currently 12 Chronicles planned for Lineage 2 at 6 month intervals. The current world "Aden" is 1/3 of the total world. Information about Chronicle 2 : Swimming animations, Mini Games, ( possibility of extra character costumastions ) ( www.lineagecenter.com for further updates ).

Q 6. How much is this going to cost me ?

A 6. $ 50 for the game ( comes with 1 month free play ) and then 1 month for $ 14.95 or 3 months for $41.85 or 6 months for $ 77.70 or 12 months for $ 143.40.

Q 7. I live in outside the US / Candada, Can I play ?

A 7. Yes you can, on retail launch on the web site you can order a CD Key for $ 50 that will allow you to play. Monthly payments require a Creditcard, no paypal options at the moment. You can also import the game, which includes a manual and the likes. If you buy the CD Key online you don't get the fancy package. However if you have the unfortunate luck of being in a country that has it's own version of Lineage 2 now or ( in retail or Beta ) your IP will most likely be blocked in the NA version.

Q 8. If we're not getting Chronicle 1 at launch what are we getting ?

A 8. We're getting a 25 mb patch til Chronicle 1 is out. What this patch contains is unknown at the current time.

Q 9. What are some good sites to read up on information about Lineage 2 ?

A 9. Among others: www.l2orphus.com , http://lin.warcry.com , www.lineagecenter.com . For reviews you can always check the Lineage 2 boards here, or the "Hype meter" in the game link.

A Suggestion: If you're not familiar with the world of Lineage 2, before jumping onto the bandwagon I reccomend reading up a bit on the sites listed above. Maybe ask a friend a thing or 2 to ease your entry into Aden. It can come off as quite the harsh place :)

eh ? When Open Beta end, you're account ( with characters ) will still excist however to be able to log into the game and actualy be able to play you will need to buy a CD Key. How long your account and characters will remain saved after open beta ends is of yet unknown, DhevrinNC will probably post more info about these kinda things today when Open Beta ends.

So for example if they decide on a 3 month time frame, you would have from the start of retail, April 28th, til July 28th to buy a CD Key and activate your old beta account to a retail acount. After that date you would have to start a new. I'd like to state again that I'm guessing on how long they will keep your old account.

Hope this clears it up.

Here's the official info from the L2 forums:

In preparation for the commercial launch, all of the servers will be down for 24 hours from Monday, April 26 at 9pm until Tuesday, April 27 at 9pm (PDT).

The client patch will be approximately 25 MB. This update will be available via the Updater starting starting at 10pm (PDT) on the 26th. Please download during the downtime to avoid the rush!

Annnd...

Open Beta starts: March 28 - After the completion of Open Beta, THERE WILL NOT BE A WIPE. Yes this decision took a lot of soul searching and many many many differing opinions from within the team, but in the end we decided not to wipe Open Beta characters.

As already stated, they haven't discussed just how long your beta characters will stick around without a valid CD key. But they will NOT be wiped immediately upon retail release.
