Vanguard is in beta. Yes, it's out. But it is still in development. It's been in development for four years. The reason why it was released is because SoE was getting 0 profit from it. It's not that they figured it was finished. Just that it was finished enough to start making money off of it. MMO's rival movies in budget costs nowadays and four years of no profit is very costly. As a business SoE made the right choice, I'd do the same. I'd rather have a fun p2p beta with great potential then no game at all.

It was released because they blew there budget. It's a bloated example of mismanagement.
