Worst Use of a Popular IP or License:  SWG (Oh boy, where to start. A game that allowed Star Wars fans to live in the Star Wars world..Sounds good right? Bugged to heck, and instead of fixing it, they get rid of all people devs who believed in living your own Star Wars life, and started hiring people who thought Star Wars was the dream game of the "Whats Star Wars? Is that like WoW?" generation...So instead of aiming the game at the millions of Star Wars fans(Tey didn't even advertise the game at the Star Wars fanbase locations) they wanted to target the same kiddies everyone else targets. And they also managed to make it a "bizzarro world Star Wars" version instead of "Star Wars". There's nothing Star Wars about SWG except a few textures.)

Most Shameless Developer :  SOE (There are others, but SOE stands out as the only ones who said "fuck off" to their current playerbase(wich before WoW was one of the largest in the western world) in favor of a non existant playerbase)

Most Likely to be Cancelled in 2007: SWG (With 10 million a year in licensing fee, and a unknown % of subscription income going to LEC, there's no way SWG are making money with 10-50k subscribers spread out on 25 servers, using a very expensive Oracle database. Only reason it's alive now is because they are on life support, trying their best to find the one patch that will have all people come back....Like that will happend with the NGE)

Biggest Stinker:  SWG-NGE (The game stinks! Everything that's good about the game is remnants from the first version of the game. Abut everything they have added to the game since their "New Game Enhancement" has been stinking piles of bugged versions of mechanics they removed and flawed game mechanics based on Helios's belief that PvP r0xx0rS, desperately trying to make the subscriber belive that the game is getting better. It stinks, it's like playing Fallout Tactics...Everything from Fallout that was dang good is gone.)

This sums up almost identical to my view at the 2006 MMOWTF Awards , when you are used to having 3 excelent meals a day it would be very hard to suddenly switch to only water and bread , same with pre-cu SWG i have tasted what a reall MMORPG can feel like but never tasted that feel again.....:(

Most Desolate: Tie Between Dark and Light and SWG. I can count the number of people I encountered in both on one finger.

Worst Use of IP: SWG, easily. No, it is not "Star warsy" or "Iconic" now.

Most Shameless Developer: $OE. Gotta love releasing an expansion a day or two before a major game revamp.

Most likely to be cancelled: SWG. Not only is it old, it sucks. DnL is new and Sucks.

Biggest Stinker: SWG FTW! I bet the NGE is seeming like a good idea about now.

As to the awards...there is only 1 award I really care about giving.

Most shameless devs:  Brad and Sigil,  See, these guys are evil or something.  SoE, I understand them, they want my money.  These, I dunno, they feel like they enjoy pissing players for the fun of it.  I always imagine Brad been extremely excited and happy when a player is having a hard time; especially raiding.  I have no problem with challenges and difficulties, as long as they are related with the gameplay, when you start using FOREIGN gameplay to shaft groupers, you go way too far.  You have to stop such nasty behavior; raiding should affect raiders only;  not groupers and certainly not making the best groupers.

Has anyone seen any article in the press about the SOE scam? I mean there must be some computer magazine that would be brave enough to do a big article about how bad this company treats their customers?!

Please let me know if there is... I´m tired of reading everywhere "how good this NGE is" and bla bla bla...
