Victor "Sporkfire" Wachter, the Online Community Manager for Dungeons and Dragons Online, has jumped ship and landed at Cryptic Studios (City of Heroes/Villains, Marvel Universe Online) as their lead community manager. "I am a huge fan of superheroes," Wachter told MMORPG.com, "and so working with the company that put the genre on the MMORPG map is one of the most exciting things to have ever happened to me. To be working on Marvel Universe Online makes it that much sweeter." Wachter will be replaced at Turbine by current DDO Online Community Relations Specialist Ariel "Samera" Jaffee-Marks. "DDO is going to be in great hands now that Samera is stepping up to run community relations," said Wachter. "She has always been the public face of OCR for the game and I am very proud of her." MMORPG.com wishes both Jaffee-Marks and Wachter the best of luck in their new roles. Dana Massey |

Pulling the competence from DDO.... Can only mean bad news for Marvel. If he had any creative ideas to help a new MMO along, then he used them last time. And look at the state of that game. Serious blow to the Marvel MMO anticipation.
"This is not a game to be tossed aside lightly. |

It doesn't have anything to do with the game. He simply moved from Turbine to Cryptic Studios.

Sporkfire's a pretty cool feller: He'll do well.
To dream, perhaps to be. |

That's gotta feel good. Having the ability to move between major games like that. Oh that we should be so lucky.
Nothin' to do but doin'. |
