Does anyone by chance know of a game similiar to Earth and Beyond? I really like playing games that I can play at my own pace and not have to depend on others to get quests done. ENB was the closest thing to that for me and i sorely miss it! Please reply if you know of any :(

Darkstar One, although its not an online game, but it is similar to
E&B. I loved E&B and would love to see anything remotely
similar come out on the market.

You can give EVE a shot its similiar to EnB. Things you should know.
You spend the entire time looking at your ship, no external ship interactions. Its based more on capital ship style combat so no joystick controls Skill not level based Skills trained real-time regardless of whether your on or not Skills determine your options more than they determine how effective you are There is a 2 week trial thats completely free a.k.a. no credit card requied. So give it a shot you may like it or you may find it to different to your liking |

I know what you mean, EnB was my very first MMO and will always hold a special place in my heart. It was responsible for grabbing me and dragging me into this Genre.. All I can say is that you can give EvE a try after they luanch the additions were you can actually get out of your freaking ship!!! Or maybe you can look up Star Trek Online, I haven't really read up on it that much but from the little I can gather it will be the closes thing to EnB we will have for sometime now. |

EVE is typically too hardcore pvp for many american gamers. If they toned down pvp a bit, they could draw more customers from the american market. I don't think they will as this is their niche, and podders want to keep podding. I too miss EnB, it is a shame EA didn't support it with advertising. When I got out of beta and went to buy it the clerk at the game store didn't even know what it was. He had to look for it in the back, they had 4 copies total. No posters, cardboard stands, nothing to show a scifi mmog coming out. Plus EA's almost stubborn refusal to license out or outright sell the source code, they won't re-release it but won't let anyone else run it either. So I use City of Heroes/Villains for my Alternate From Fantasy gaming. Still hoping for World of Starcraft or Shadowrun Online, hey I can dream right? |
