I'd like to share your optimisim, but those guys are just unprofessional douchebags (with uncomfortable similarities to the unprofessional douchebags who are currently working on the real product). I develop software for a living, and I can't stand trying to deal with them (and I have tried in the past). The project is so large, it really needs to be run with something approaching a real software engineering team. They just aren't it. I have pretty much given up hope that they are going to come up with anything approaching what pre-CU was, in anything close to a useful timeframe. It'll end up being a party server with some remnants of what the game once was (e.g., you'll be able to duel somebody in the Theed plaza, but there won't be any mobs to go out and find, resources to survey and harvest, etc.). It'll be a curiosity/novelty project, nothing those of us in the haze of SWG nostalgia will find a viable replacement for the once-great game. I hope I'm wrong, but my gut tells me I'm not.

Play <insert name> without subscription, take your time to choose your race, test the different functions such as <insert name> or <insert name>, create your own fortress.... Take part in the great adventure of the <insert name> game. Experience never before seen state of the art graphics and extremely inovative game play. Travel on a vast world and create your own hero, on a time Darth Vader is suposed to be dead and burried, etc, etc. Wish i had a coin for each time i read this about any game, they all say the same, take a look on the official page and you will see. What you wont see is a honest aproach. Will we ever see we beg you to come and play, for free, so we wont have empty servers?
