YA computer players will probably win because all they have to do is point and click on someone it doesn't take as much skill as someone using a antalog stick.

I would tend to beleive that their may actually be more xbox players as well than PC. We will have to see! They could over run the PC's with Russian tactics. I for one was a PS2 player till WOW hooked me and i bought a beefy PC but i could handle those twin sticks really good in SOCOM. We will have to see can;t wait goign to be interesting.

PC is the most versitile system. There really isnt a reason to have a console. Quotations Those Who make peaceful resolutions impossible, make violent resolutions inevitable. John F. I wouldn't say that i know a guy that hooked his 360 controller to the pc, and was playing Counter Strike Source, and he wasn't used to playing with a controller, but after a month or so, he was kicking peoples ass with steady scores of 25-5 around. |

You can beat newbies on source public servers with a steering wheel and pedals... CSS pubs are pretty much redundant because theyre full of 10 year olds who are playing for their very first time.
Just look at players from CAL- M or some league which is full of players who are considered average in competitive standards, they'll tear a pub up with 30/0 scores. Your pad man would get slapped. The depth of skill achievable with a mouse is just too far from a joypads reach. Theres just not anyway near enough precision of movement and speed. You can flick a mouse 90 degrees and hit pixel perfect shots with the blink of an eye consistently. It's evident just looking at the huge market of gaming mice with high dpis and endless array of gaming mousepads (all targetting FPS group of players). I suggest you download some frag movies from fast paced games and you'll see what it's all about. If you don't know what frag movies are it's because you probably don't have an insight to what competitive players actually can achieve.. http://www.own-age.com/vids/top.aspx?orderby=dls&sort=desc Just look through a couple of movies on there and maybe you'll understand. Players like fatal1ty are famous by the amount of skill and precision by using mice as their device, not joypads. He's even got his own range of mice, mousepads and hardware. http://www.fatal1ty.com and I don't even consider him to be in the top10 of the best FPS aimers in the world, but believe me, not a single one of the best 1000 FPS players worldwide use a joypad.. it is possible to plug a joypad into a pc but why do you think not a single person at tournaments is using it instead of a mouse? Simple.. It's just nowhere as good enough to compete with, and you'd be at an impossible disadvantage. Trust me, I've been playing competitive multiplayer since Quakeworld where skilldepth became really evident with mouse usage. I own an xbox 360 which I enjoy as casual fun but if I want fast paced competitive FPS with immense skilldepth I'll stick to the PC. Racing games etc, it's just nice to pickup a controller and not have to be in caveman pc position. ___________________________ |

I won't disagree with you on that, but also source doesn't have as much experienced players as on 1.6. |

That's correct, the legendary CS players are all still in 1.6 ___________________________ |

i actually prefer my analog to mouse, ibut i dont think pc players will do any better then xbox players. I mean it is all about preference, neither is neccesarily better. |

it's like saying an army with ww2 weapons could beat an evenly skilled modern day army because it's just preference.

They said that Xbox 360 players and PC players will not be in battle together but can trade and talk in the cities and stuff.

yes, making sense, else they'd have to quirk the FPS depth of aim (by adding some degree of auto aim) to keep the playing field equal which would certainly annoy every single PC player. ___________________________ |

lol.. i even imagine how console gamers can "talk" .. i hope this happens because I want people to realise that console gaming is not the only way to play games... :D PC's rule, they do almost everything...

Yep, X-Box wont stand a chance. The movement with the cursor is much faster at PC

Ive come to the conclusion that the XBOX will be like a handicap that dissolves, eventually 360 users will get up to the accuracy of PC users but this will take a few months for most players. Im up for the challenge

If you google for XBox mouse keyboard, you will find that there are mouse and keyboard adapters available now. I have not tried any of those since I'm a PC player myself, but if they work as well mouse/keyboard on the PC, the question may be moot.

The developers have said that they will not have PC and 360 players competing with/against each other like they originally planned. In the article I read one of the developers said they could not figure out how to balance it so that the console players were not at a disadvantage.

PC v's 360 will be fun but no competition really in a straight contest My 2 favourite games are BF2 on the PC and COD2 on the 360 and there is quite a difference is between them. One is a more serious & prescise 'head shot' type of game built around the accuracy of a mouse and keyboard. The other has more traditional arcadey game play, less dependant on head shots and more built around romping around having fun. The spread/accuracy and damage of weapons cannot be the same for Joypad and M&Kb. It simply would not work. Both games are classics and up there with the best on their own systems, but those systems are quite different. Hopefully, with the 360 players getting their own side they will get the tweaks they need to stay competitive. I just hope they don't use a horrible auto-aim system. & personally, I would get the 360 version as with any mmorpg a lot of hours are required and I'd rather spend them on my settee than a computer chair :) _________________________________________ |

I still laugh when I think of console vs. PC in a true FPS. I've watched people playing an "FPS" (Ghost Recon AWF) on XBox and it is pretty laughable. For one: the game is dumbed down to make it work with the console. For two: the reaction and accuracy of a console just isn't there. This guy insisted he could take me, but I've watched and seen otherwise. I just hope they somehow flag what side you're from, so the arguments can cease. If I play this game and start a guild, I would do my best to not invite a 360 player. lol |
