Unfortunately, the bugs are not hte only problem. The main problem for me is the complete lack of presence on forums. They could at least take the two minutes to write a post saying they are aware of the problem. The forums are dead. A game with that kind of support is not worth paying any subscription for. |

Unforunately, I really doubt it. There are nearly daily patches to fix small numbers of bugs as it is. I have no doubt that more bugs will be fixed before going live but since that is next week, I fully expect tons of bugs. On the other hand, I don't care that much as it isn't really the MMO for me (too pvp centric with too little storyline/quests of interest). I'd consider buying the game if it wasn't going to be subscription. Active: CoH/CoV, Warhammer (beta, live) |

LOL at the people saying "It's Beta!"
I've been playing games in this genre for 10 years. I've played almost every major successful MMORPG and even a good number of the bad ones. Not once, ever, in the history of beta testings, did the final release of a game after its beta seem THAT different. The "It's only Beta!" arguement has been the rallying cry of people who refuse to accept the reality of the situation. Stop acting like you have some financial stake in the success of the game and realize it is just a game, that will most likely go the way of RF Online. You'll got some initial rush, but after the first month, you will see the number plummet. CM has little to no control over the game, there are merely a middle man who translated and distributes Korean games, not even good Korean games. The website is an EXACT copy / paste from the RF Online website, and like RFO, most of the relevent game information links on the website are still under contruction. It would take merely a few minutes for someone to sit down and type up information on classes, skills, and combat. Since these are probably 3 of the biggest gameplay staples, it deters any would be person who might have an interest in the game. My opinion, much to the chagrin of many of the people here pretending they have financial interest in this game, is that gamers should stay far away from companies like this, and not endorse such idiocy. The more people who are willing to pay for unfishing garbage, the more companies will put it out. |

Actually you are wrong, most products that I have beta tested have released patches every 2-3 days to have them TESTED so they know they work. This was not done in this event, and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We are supposed to believe that all the problems that were reported in BETA are just fine and dandy in a server we CANNOT CONNECT TO. Sorry that just doesn't do it. This game is going to die off quickly.. sorry but thats my honest opinion. |

I also tried the beta, but i gave it up a few hours later. I expect codemasters will fix the bugs, but i don't like the graphics, the style in which the characters are made. There are good things of course, I liked especially the map, but i prefer to play more beautiful games, like guild wars f.e.

so because another company does it, Codemasters will as well? CM has done more things that other companies don't. they changed important gameplay features & the entire billing system in the last two weeks. you don't see other games do that either. I also fixed your post. |

I've got the game on order, should be with me in a few days for launch. I'll give it a go, will most probably come back here in a few weeks to say how I am getting on and whether I like the game or not. Might as well try it out, so many conflicting reports about whether its good/bad i decided to try it myself. I reccomend others not sure to go ahead and give it a try anyway. Nothing to lose other than a few quid anyways...

My first impression of this game was that it was the same thing as Knight Online, even down to the purchasing of upgrades for cash. Thankfully they got rid of that trash, but the game is still KO to me.

1. DOnt fix my posts.. it was stated as MY opinion.. i don't need a fanboi telling me how to speak/post. 2. Your points are invalid.. they did nothing to fix any BUGs.. thats it what this conversation is about. Why would I trust a company that refused to prove they fixed gamestopping bugs? 3. Yes its a Beta.. but thats not an excuse to not fix problems and patch them in. Any true gamer out there should be worried about this fact, and the fact there are no answers on thier main forums to do thier support team justice. You want to know the reason they would not use that payplus billing system? Nobody would buy anything... at least not enough to cover development costs, since they can see their game is taking a beating on every open forum that discusses it. So they went the buisiness safe route and are raping people for over 10.00 a month for an untested, badly backed product...not to mention the 50.00 outlay for the origional program... try selling your blind faith to another shopper, it just aint working here. Im all my years of testing I have seen enough snake oil, I don't need anymore. |

Game loading is actually suggesting that someone voice thier opinion as an opinion and not as fact? He should take his own advice lest I drag up every post he has made on EvE forums that prove otherwise. |

I don't want to ruin your day, but i hardly visit the EVE forums, and I think I made ONE post there the last past couple of months (which was a reply to a joke in the EVE Forums) not to mention time and opinions change. |

I see Gameloading is keeping to his promise. So......are these bugs crippling the retail or do you have high hopes that they will be addressed and gone in short time? |

Got the retail box today, just thought I'd see if the retail key I have has been activated yet, nope :-( So, to a certain extent I'm glad they're keeping to the 6th for us europeans... Will post more in a new topic hopefully after I have played for a few hours tomorrow, then we shall see if this game is any good. |

I still have hopes that they will be fixed soon, but that does not take away that I think they should have been fixed before launch. |

Gameloading, when someone posts on the internet or says something in real life you have to assume it is his oppinion unless he states otherwise. That's just the logical approach to conversation that most people have. Did you think it was his moms oppinion he posted, or that of his imagined friend? Being stupid is no excuse for being an asshat :P |

Thanks for the info, will give this game a skip.
By the way, never play the "It's Beta" card a couple of weeks or less before release. You only end up embarassing yourself when the problems still aren't resolved in retail. |
