I remember when the game first came out I tried it for a week but the lag was horrible and I couldn't do anyything in game.
How is the lag now? Is there any? How is PVP? |

Most of the "global lag" is gone. There are still some intermittent delays from the server during object creation type activities, but for the most part, you can play the game reasonably well. PvP? Well, that is an issue still. You can fight small skirmishes. But larger battles - especially in enemy controlled areas - are still going to cause significant issues, primarily server lag/tracking problems and potential client crashes. If you are willing to allow for some glitches and understand that this is a sandbox, the game is playable and fun. If you are mostly interested in large scale PvP, or expect a more polished product, best to keep waiting. |

Three things that make me upset.
1) Small gaming companies who try and write their own 3D Engine. 2) Small gaming companies who don't use the .NET Framework Visual Studio 2003 at least. 3) Small gaming companies who don't implemen network solutions via .NET framework Had roma victor did the above 3 the game would be close to solid 6 months ago, but no they had to reinvent the wheel on every part of that game. |

As far as I know .NET framework was not specificaly designed for OpenGL or even DirectX. But yes, they should of licences one of engines already on the market instead of trying to create one in a limited environment. |

The new format that grinreaper would like to see is small companies releasing products in an unoptimsed pre-alpha state and charging money for folks to buy it that way. Brilliant!!!! |

Better than big companies charging a monthly fee on top of that and then chaging the game 180%...now that is bussiness savy. |

Sorry, I will use small words and examples: Almost every game listed here was released incomplete. Most charge a monthly fee on top of the purchase price...essentally charging you to test the game. Then, if they decide they did somthing wrong, they change the way the game is played, somtimes alot. EQ2 and SWG being extream examples. To a lesser extent a game like COH, where there were a string of nerfs to tone down the speed that the content was run through. |
