My polite post asking for a refund (that was on the boards for 2 months) is now deleted - final confirmation that its $20 gone ^^
A serious warning to anyone looking at this forum..... this game company is disgusting - delaying at every opportunity and giving a 2 month refund window without telling anyone about it (leaving all the people that gave up completely oblivious to the opportunity). I presume the interest from the pre-orders is helping someone retire. -- |

Don't worry, grimboj. When I had my last discussion concerning CeasarsGhost and the devs at TC in another thread here explaining to them that they no longer need to post here until they could prove they had an actual game, they've stayed away. CGs last attempt was saying that MMORPG.COM had been in the studio playing the game, so that proved it exist. When I told him to have those MMORPG.COM representatives state that this was true and done withing the last couple weeks, he went silent. They've already shown themselves to be nothing more than another fly-by-night operation, all promise and no delivery. And I will becalling them out on it everytime they do try to post here until they either give us what we want (as in RECENT INGAME VIDEO and statements from MMORPG.COM that they have seen and played TC and what state it is in) or they fade away into the fog where vaporware belongs Edit: to place links |

Yes. Rapid Reality seems more and more like the latest joke in the mmo-business.
The lack of news is just telling us that they wont have a game out for at least 24 months. And RR is also without a Community Manager imo. Even I post more than him nowadays. My impression is: Rapid Reality has given up. |

you can get your 20 bucks back. politely tell them its your 20 bucks, or they will be giving everyone a refund and closing their doors. they have done things illegally, and also frauded customers.
also, if they refuse and enough people report them FBI/NWC3 to the internet crime complaint center, hopefully it will change the way some businesses think they can get away with this stuff. Generally speaking, this point holds water if prior knowledge would have changed the decision to part with money of those who feel scammed. lets see, "hey we are not going to give a thing that we sold you, just going to treat you like dirt in a special section of our forums." |

Yeah, like I mentioned in another post, I used to work for Avaria, the guys who sold Enldess Ages to mmocenter, and at the time I was hoping to get the job of community manager, the one that Ceasers ghost now has and has helped ruin, lol. I am sooooo glad now that I did not, I might never get a job in the gaming industry again after these guys get hit up like Enron, no one will want anything to do with them, I just wish I could shake thier hands in person for hiring ceasers ghost instead of me, to think I was actually dissapointed at the time, haha, at least I am getting a good last laugh!

Don't worry, Darkcreed. Don't bellow that last guffaw just yet. I think the hilarity of this games situation is starting to pick up speed and with any luck, there will be much entertainment yet to come from CG and mmocenter before the inevitable final curtain draws on The Chronicle. |

If it comes down to legality, I'm sure they'll be able to prove that you did indeed receive the service you paid for.
Remember, you paid for access to the beta site/forums, and a spot reserved for when beta comes out. You didn't actually pay for a beta. |

no. you just cant do that ! immagine if you ordered 10 pizzas, 2 orders of wings, 4 breadsticks, a couple salads and 5 2 liters of pepsi from pizza hut and prepaid with your credit card. they get to your house, toss you 2 packets of ranch dressing and say 'there ya go'.

It's a lesson learned, don't take it to personally. RR stopped caring about what the general or gaming public thought about them a long time ago, when we all started to catch on as to what exactly they are all about. You know it and it's good to warn people... shame it cost you, and others, 20 bucks to figure it out but oh well, it could have been worse. |

Argh, sadly no, I decided to spend my money on a summer trip instead. I did however get my learners permit and passed my safety course so by next summer hopefully I'll be able to afford a bike and finish up my license. Very excited about that, thanks for asking Zor =). |

Chapter 3: I found a list of a few consumer groups in my country who might be able to take action on my behalf. Have sent a complaint email and have informed them that Ive sent the email. Am writing a letter now. I can smell my $20 back in my hand already.

Good luck with that Grim. Just as a secondary thought, you could also lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, you just need to find what state RR has their head office in and then go to bbb.org I think and file an online dispute. They don't do very much but they will inform RR that a complaint has been lodged and start a file which goes on their credit statements for future references and the such. Before any action is taken I do believe the company has a chance to resolve the situation, considering the negatives of such an action they might be more inclined to give the money you fully deserve back. |
