I honestly cant help you out with that one as ive never been on it or even heard of it , so it might be like SwgNgeFans , but then again it could be nothing like it we'll just have to wait and see once i get some members to actaly join... its only actaly been a website since about an hour before i opened up this thread (Hehe) And reading some of obraiks posts and threads (i know i spelt his name wrong but you know who i mean) i quite like this guy and since hes a different time zone he would make an excellent Admin on SwgNgeFans(http://swgngefans.AceBoard.com) Monkeytroll

Ok , thanks for your help but as you can see i started up Swg Nge Fans already ... and also i like things my way lol thats another reason for starting my own and not joining another , but thanks anyway Monkeytroll

NGE is awesomely fun super sweet and cool. I got a lightsaber and I get to swing it and kill ewoks and jawas and laugh and laugh and laugh... Its so star warzy and iconic with my sweet cool jedi that pwnz newbz. I totally roxxor'd some newb officer and smugglerz... Some asshat but a bounty on me which was super sweet cause my guildie and I totally split it... OH Noz I almost forgot... I totally bagged on this noob entertainer and crafter for being whinerz and newbs for playing those dumb boring classes. Told them I got loot so I dont need them... they where douches and whining about how the game used to be.... noobs... Anyways back to using my sweet red doublebladed lightsaber that pwnzers newbs... laterz |

Not to flame or anything, but this is one of many reasons why your attempt at creating a community will fail. Communities are created only if there is a need for them. There simply is no need for an NGE fan-community like this - that statement has nothing to do with the fact that I think the NGE is horrible, but the people playing it (and liking it) already have their communities on the official forum, on several server-specific sites, as well as many SWG-related sites in general. Your site offers nothing that these sites do not - on the contrary, your site actually offers far less, as there is no existing community people can join. This makes your site pointless (again, not a flame, simply an observation and analysis). I've seen countless examples of people creating a new forum and community, trying to bring people into it without there being any real need for it - the motivation usually being that the people behind it wants to create something where they have a position of authority and "power", so to speak (not saying that's the case here, but your statement above seems to indicate that it is). These attempts never pan out - they always fail within a matter of weeks, if not days. In the best case scenario, there's a slight influx of users in the very beginning, but that simply dies off in a couple of weeks when they realise they already have what the forum offers elsewhere. This is true also for anti-NGE forums - I've seen atleast four attempts at creating such sites, both in relation to the first CU as well as the NGE, and they all failed. I'm sure there are also several examples I myself am not aware of. Perhaps there was one or two of those sites that actually made it, and is still an active community to this day, but I sincerely doubt it. But good luck anyway. I see you have only one registered user (yourself), and no content at all (people aren't gonna bother to register just to read the two threads that are there), so I think your site has pretty much failed already. |
