Anyone else notice how SLOW they are compared to Pre-CU? The gameplay discussion forum used to be crazy. You had to refresh very often to not miss a thread slipping to page 2. Now, it can go 10-15 minutes before a single reply is posted.
That's probably a HUGE example of how much it's died. Even with all the posters who are angry, there's still much less posting. SWG Tempest: Cardo Dycen RIP |

I expect that will tighten up even more when they roll out the new forum software.

We are operating on less than 1/3rd of the pre-Cu player base.
And less than half the CU player base. SWG will be down to MXO type sub numbers before the end of 2006. |

$OE forums are not star warsy and iconic because they require too much reading. Lothor Crestingwalker |

Taking bets on what the first Fanboi response will be. My guess is:
Yeah, all 10 of them. I realize I said I quit. I never said it was forever :) |

It is a sign of the dwindling interest in SWG.

If they posted an announcement for classic servers their forum server would melt... |

Yeah, they might need to retire that TRS-80 they are using as a server for the NGE forums and get a real server. I realize I said I quit. I never said it was forever :) |

If they keep with the NGE they will be able to host all their servers on a Commodore VIC-20 in 6 months. |

The good old days. I never had a VIC-20 myself, I started with the Timex Sinclair with the tiny little "chiclet" keyboard that hooked up to your TV. Then I got a C64, then Amiga 1000, then a 2000. Man, I loved the Amigas. It's a shame I had to grow up and support a family and embrace IBM and Microsoft. I realize I said I quit. I never said it was forever :) |
