Most of those things you listed have already been done, and honestly, from those screenshots, I'm not that excited. But we shall see.

well as said before this already all have been done before so how the heck are they they first that is totally impossible. permanent death mostly doesn't sit right by a lot of mmorpg players. Player reproduction ??? man it sounds like someone just wants a coppy of the normal world :( don't they understand that we play mmorpg's because we find it more fun then RL why recreated RL. This game already makes zero sense to me. reading the sites some fucking dumb things there but this line takes the cake: No AI controlled opponents or NPCs: Every player and creature (with the minor potential exceptions of fish, game, and livestock) is controlled by another human. Players can play as creatures that can evolve any manner of traits, allowing them to assume forms of classical mythological beasts or other creatures Man will this world be empty. Actaully all features and things mentioned here are sort of all done already in a Tale in the Desert the guy doing this should hook up with those guys because there really thinking alike at least the guy would get an solid idea of how to implement some of the desired featured sins this is the only mmorpg with the same no combat oriented focus and people building and infleuncing the world kinda thing. I really advice him to play this particular game because in sense is the mmorpg that most similar to the ideas and especially ideals of this guy. Sorry about the ranting but this isn't they kinda game that people going to these forums are really into nothing personal i actaully dig your ideas but only see problems getting it too a viable gamming stage. This actaully can be done as been proven by A Tale in the Desert i really think you should look at there site and study that game it will be a good reference for a lot of things you want for your game (www.atitd.com) This game has come far and it has now a very nice flash website but it started out as an idealistic group of programmers with alot of there ideas pretty similar too yours. It's kinda weird thinking that that company is called EGenesis(egypte genesis) which is the same genesis i think your reffering too |

All I've seen so far is a 3D engine world editor and some nice marketing blahblah on a somewhat empty site 'because he doesn't want to upset his bandwith use'. That to me screams like it's not going to happen.

Exactly, the website seems very un proffesional, and whilst the screenshots are quite pretty, the graphics are quite inferior to a lot of games. Also, the listed concepts are unoriginal, and, quite frankly, unapealing. I don't want to permenantly die. I don't want player-build crap everywhere. I don't want main cities in ruins.
