please please please let it be planescape... planescape is one of the best most versitile and well defined game areas in existance. there is so much that can be done with it, it's scary! the exploration, group co-op tactics, and character building has tremendous potential... not to mention crafting and merchant affairs... plus the dnd pnp system is solid and very balanced as a whole when not made like ddo... not to mention that planescape: torment was an incredible game! |

WoW is definatly not worth the money for the game, I am a 60 Paladin Dwarf on Cenarius and it has been a harsh and dull road to 60 ontop of the fact that end game involves nothing but a Big glass of soda and a big bag of chips and constant battle with your guildmates over DKP and epic gear, you have to attend 10 raids for one piece of armor in which you'll replace if you have the time. And the community is dull complete solo game, you can get to 60 soloing easily so if you like social games WoW is definatly not a game to play...The guilds are nice with a tabard effect but. And PvP is alright but its instance now, so world PvP is scarce which sucks...WoW gets no credit from me after playing it 2+ years (or technically since release date).... BOOOOM IN YO FACE BLIZZARD! |

D&L is not gonna beat WoW unless they add something, only some of their game are better than WoW...
none |

?? D&L is pretty much vaporware. That game is barely beating Pong. I think the next big game will be Vanguard of course. |

Although I just canceled my WoW account, I don't think anything that we have heard about yet will be the next BIG mmorpg.
Conan, Warhammer Online, Vangard, etc. will be good, but won't bring in cousin Vinnie that never would play a MMO before. WoW was a groundbreaker. It just couldn't continue to be all things to all people. I bet it still hits 7 million plus subrscribers before it starts to fall. Don't expect a WoW buster anytime in the next year or two. |

I'll make you sad. You won't find the best. Never. I tried that and what I see is that always must to make compromise's. |

I believe that "Dreamlords" might be an interesting game. Maybe not the next big hit in the WoW class but still a new and inovative game that tries to bring the genre forwardl ^_^

it´s still far to go before this game is done but they have some damn good ideas |

For now that seems alot in the idea stages only. Naming the obvious but I think it's hard to actually do. But they could offer a more dynamic mmo than any1 else, atleast try. A good game to keep an eye on never the less. |

What about Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar (http://lotro.turbine.com/), because it is an interesting game idea based on a great book that everyone knows. Or perhaps Roma Victor (http://www.roma-victor.com/), because it is one of the new, rare, historical MMORPG's and has some revolutionary game-play and game-content ideas in it. Although its graphics are certainly lacking, and it has a ways to go before the game is finally finished. I don't know why they released it now when its only half done... |

Nothing I see in development really strikes me as being the next big MMO, nothing to compare with WoW's numbers, and I think alot of what helped WoW out was that they already had a hard core following of non-MMO players from their single player games, Warcraft I, II, etc so when WoW came out they had a ton of non-MMO players who all of a sudden jumped into the world of MMO's. I think a lot of good MMO's are on their way and each will cater to a niche audience but none of them are going to blow the current games away, Vanguard will not be the next big MMO as it seems to be catering to Hard Core players only, so in my opinion it will be a good niche game. My 2 cents

I am gunna have to go with Age of Conan and/or Vanguard. As you say Vanguard might not become that popular because it is catered towards HC players. Age of Conan looks really appealing to me and it has a good combat system and all. Another runner-up might be LOTRO, but not sure how it will turn out in the end.

There are so many pages, I dare not search to see if this has been mentioned. I for one am looking forward to DarkFall.
It reminds me of the feeling I had when I first heard about Dark and Light...but tons better. Same basic concept, except they are not rushing it out. Very impressed by what I am seeing so far. Graphics look good. Plus it doesn't have this fake, cartoony feel I got from playing WoW. Full PvP, mounts you can fight from...just about everything I have been looking for. Shadow casting, tall grass to hide in, weather system, visible fatigue and battle damage. Oh, and let's not forget about a skill system. I just can't wait. Check it out, you may become a fan too. |

NCSOFT rulez @mmorpg
gameplay rulez = flying...3 realms (2 playable 1 npc)... quick gameplay!!...fantastic optic!.....(at beginning)solo+raid-able....NO korean-grind-style!! fantastic animations!......players can make new environment!......8 classes at the endgame planned.
i will love it.....2007!
and a ActionMMO 2007 => HELLGATE:LONDON!!! FTW!!!!!!!1111oneonelevennightelves!! :P
