When someone gets banned from the DnL forums all access to accounts etc is ceased. the only option to actually cancel playing the game is to do so through your account. If they have denied access this means you would be unable to cancel. Is this legal?
By going to C&B right away you find you are unable to cancel until farlan has verified your request, this being the same request they ban you from making. So Farlan could never verify the request as they would never of received one in the first place. |

Legal? DnL is one court case away from being in one of those generic 'compensation advice company' adverts. Mrs. Whiley: "I was posting on the forums about how I was about to quit DnL when my account was banned. I suffered credit card pain and whiplash. I called Compensation Direct and I received $10,000 compensation the next day from Farlan." Female from Compensation Direct: "Have you been in a bad MMO? Had an accidental banning from work? Then call Compensation Direct on 1800-MMO-6767. We guarantee compensation for those incompotent MMO companies the next day,or we'll torch down their offices. Number again; 1800-MMO-6767. Call today!" |

It is indeed illegal. Call your credit card company, report the situation and they will cancel and remit a full chargeback as well as remit an official complaint. It may end up that your credit card company will refuse any and all transactions from C&B and Farlan. |

Biggest thing to remember is to get this done BEFORE Farlan goes down the toilet (who are we kidding, we all know it will happen). If they declair bankruptcy or are forced into a recievership, they are under no obligation to pay back what they owe people. Most likely the settlement will be reached with you getting like $25 bucks back if they settle out of court.
